Vanity slide adjustment

I need to adjust my vanity slide and I can’t seem to figure out how to lower it a bit. Have any of you done your own adjustments?

I have adjusted the stop rod that controls the in and out, but not lowering it.

Same here. I figured it would be self explanatory. It’s probably right in front of me but not seeing it.

Vanity slide adjustment

I would like to do the same. My upper right corner is tighter than the others and I am concerned of possible opening or closing.
Ironically, the paint scheme is aligned fairly well.
Interested to see what others say.

The adjustment of all the slides except the bed slide are the same. At each slide ram there should be two hex head screws that need to be removed. Support the slide while removing screws. Once removed a large open end wrench is used to loosen the main nut on each slide ram. The slide can now be raised or lowered as needed. When happy with the position tighten the large Center nut on the ram. It may hold well enough to run the slide in and out to check for fit. Once you are happy with the position you will need to drill a new set of holes for the large hex screws. It is the large hex screws that drill into two metal plates (one fixed and one movable) that do the majority of the vertical holding.

First picture is of the two hex bolts. Second picture is of the large nut on the slide ram end.

Looks pretty straight forward. Thanks!

My vanity slide is a bit crooked as well, so this is a timely post. I would like to lower the high side down maybe 1/4".

Seems like you would need to move the slide up or down by about 1/2" or more so you have room to drill two new holes (without interference with the original bolt holes). If so I guess I'll just learn to live with the slide being a bit crooked in the opening.

Those screws don’t have to go back through in same location on fixed panel. You can move them up, down or sideways you’d just have drill through fixed and movable panel. Entegra uses self tappers so just reuse them.

To the OP. If I had a brand new coach under warranty I wouldn't mess with it. You risk your warranty coverage if you do it wrong.

Your welcome! Watch for proper positioning of the movable plate when drilling new holes, I believe it needs to be pushed up to hold the slide ram.

I rarely have taken any of our coaches in for warranty unless it was something I just didn’t feel like doing. I am type A x10. I keep my stuff immaculate and hate others working on it.

When I had my London aire newmar was sending me checks every time I would have them send me warr parts. At first I thought they made a mistake so I called. They said I was saving them money..lol

OK. Good luck. I'll watch for the follow ups.

Could not agree with you more. I cringe any time I have to turn my coach over to someone else.

Then when you pick up your coach there is a 50/50 chance the problem has been fixed. Either way as a bonus there is always something new wrong or a grease mark/ scratch that wasnt there when you dropped it off. Then you go home to fix the issues they created.
