Vent cover in full bathroom does not lock down

My vent cover in the back bathroom is doing something new. When I try to close it, the knob keeps turning for several more second longer than it used to, and the cover comes down but it does not lock, so it flaps in the wind for at least a couple of inch travel. Has anybody had this happening and does anybody has a solution besides changing the whole unit? Thanks. Mauro

Same on my 2013 CS early this year; both opening & closing the same thing.
I asked my property manager to handle and apparently he got the manufacturer to send him a replacement part; maybe the warranty for this item longer than the 2 year ENTEGRA warranty?

Maxx Vent has a life time warranty. Call them and they will send the part with easy instructions. There are a few post on the vent covers.

In all likelihood, a plastic drive gear wheel has stripped out and needs to be replaced. When my back vent failed within the first 6 months, Entegra replaced the whole fan.... I was told it is easier to replace the whole fan than it was to replace the drive wheel.

Thanks, everybody. I did not know the MAXFan had a lifelong warranty! I will call them first thing next Tuesday and ask for the replacement part. I wish it had failed when I was at Entegra for the two years check-up last May. They would have changed it. For me it is going to be a chore.
