Well I didn't buy the 55 gal drum, but I did buy 4 of the 2.5 gal containers at Walmart. That along with the 15 gals. In the tank should get me out of Fl. this Spring. . Noel

I saw those containers when I went to Walmart a couple days ago and they are perfect for carring extra DEF!

I contacted Spartan c/s Shane this morning to confirm what heats the DEF and what causes the initial high amp draw when the ignition is turned on.
The DEF system is heated by engine coolant only, no elect. heater. The amp draw is caused by the air intake grid heater heating inlet air to help facilitate engine starting. Noel

That makes two stories from Spartan at two different times. Which is correct, who knows. I guess it doesn't matter anyhow, as long as everything works.

Couldn't find the "2.5 gallon container" at walmart.com. Could you tell me what to search for?

Much heavier jugs for refilling as well. My in store price here is $8.87, on line pick up at the store is $7.88.

Chuck is correct, I just checked, walmart def is 7.88 online. Just order it online and go pick it up at your local wmt for 0.99 less than the store price.

I've been to Walmart twice now to check on their house brand DEF. Both times I found the jugs with NO seals. Thinking at first these might be returned items with only water in them I passed on the purchase.
So can folks answer my question: Does the SuperTech (Walmart brand) DEF 2.5 gal containers have seals???
