Washing Machine Removal - Tips Please

Drain issue on the washer has returned. Initially it was resolved by removing coins from the filter/trap on the front. Now the drain function is slow and limited but there is nothing in the trap.

I can see the rear drain via a small access panel in the closet, so I may first try to snake the drain line, but not expecting that to likely solve the issue.

Looks like I will have to remove the dryer and washer to access the back. If so I will replace the drain pump regardless cause it just make sense to do it. Any other parts I should change out while I’m at it?

We have a 2015 Cornerstone with the J floor plan. The washer/dryer are in the bedroom on the passenger side beside the closet.

Does anyone have any tips on what trim needs to be removed to pull put the appliances?

Dave,
I just had my washer replaced 3 weeks ago...I have a 45B floorplan so it may not be exactly the same but, the upper trim panel (with the door catches) should have 2 wooden "buttons" that when removed using a small screwdriver/knife will reveal screws, remove the screws and that will allow the panel to be removed. you then will most likely see a metal bracket screwed to a backing block of wood that has to be removed, the bracket is epoxyed to the top of the dryer and will need to be removed using a s/driver/putty knife or something similar, also, at the bottom of the dryer the screws will need to be removed along with the bracket so you can slide the dryer out. There should be an access panel (screwed to the inside wall) inside of your closet allowing you to reach through and disconnect the vent hose, water hoses, plug etc.
With my floor plan we removed the toilet to allow for more room and less chance of damage, it looks as though you do not have that issue. An issue we found after removal was the vent in the wall was not centered vertically with the vent in the dryer in essence minimizing the diameter for air flow, and when installed at the factory in 2016/17 they had used a single screw to secure the aluminum foil hose to the dryer. Needless to say the hose had come loose and allowed alot of the exhaust to exit into the washer/dryer compartment. WE were not able to realign the vent but were able to securely attach the hose w/ 2 zipties.
