Washing machine replacement

Hello all! Our Ariston washing machine has taken a turn South and a call to Splendide has brought me to the conclusion that since the repair may be half the value of a new machine, it might be to our advantage to replace our 9 year old machine with a new one.

So - my question is - can the washer be removed through the entrance door? I'm assuming the passenger seat will have to be removed.

I'd appreciate hearing from those of you who have had the pleasure on completing this task -

Thank you -
John Hinshaw

Yes, you can take the washer out the door without removing the chair. But you need two strong people to lift the washer above the chair and center console. We had NIRV Lewisville replace ours.

We just replaced our 2 1/2 year old whirlpool with an Electrolux compact washer ourselves. We used same logic as the OP...cost of repair was very high. These washers weigh ~180lbs, so as stated above, you need two strong folks. The Electrolux is awesome: very quiet, larger capacity and the spin cycle is quiet (no more shaking the entire coach).

Thank you to those who offered advice on the washer. Since we're on the road, finding a place to work is a challenge. However, I called the Camping World in Columbia, Missouri and they not only had one in stock but would accommodate our schedule. Not our normal experience with Camping World. So, next Monday at 10:00 they'll install our new machine.....Happy Wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
