Water Filter Plumbing Mod

I may have seen this in my searches a few years ago but does anyone see why I couldn't replumb my water bay to have the on board water pump send water from the tank back through the charcoal filter?

Currently the pump is Tee'd in after the filter which I don't really understand. I would like to Tee it in prior to the filter.

All my previous coaches filtered the water coming from the tank or the shore hose.

Does water going to fresh water tank go thru that filter?
If Yes...then no need to replumb pump discharge

If No....replumb pump discharge to inlet side of filter
*install filter bypass just in case??

It does go through the filter to fill the tank, however, second pass filtration never hurts. I'm sure there's always **** at the bottom of the tank anyway.

How if it goes thru filter when filling?

City water/tank water...it's all been thru that filter.

Previous owner used to remove the tank cap and fill directly with the hose. Looks like some minor debris can be seen in the bottom.

Consider adding a signature section to your posts. I even looked for information in the slightly more private section entitled "about me" and there is no useful information there either. Would help all of us... !

Also, if I understand your question (I may not), the reason it is plumbed the way it is is that the pump has a pressure sensitive switch in it... if the water pressure falls because a spigot opens, the pump turns on and pumps. If no water is being used, the pressure builds and the pump turns off.

If there was a "T" back to the tank, the system would always be "open" and the water pressure would never build and the pump would run continuously and never shut off and constantly recycle.... maybe that is what you are trying to do. However you would need to install a switch that would stop the pump at some point.

It's already pulling from the tank? The pump has an internal check valve, so everything piped up stream is still a closed system. All I wanted to do is plumb the pump back in pre filter.

This will be helpful!! Thanks!!!

One thing about the Entegra that's always bugged me is when you turn the "city water/tank fill" valve to fill the tank, you do not get any water pressure or flow inside the coach. Nothing at any faucet, you turn on the pump it just runs without building pressure.

This doesn't have to happen.

Has anyone rearranged the plumbing so it didn't?

Is there a key to the symbols used in that plumbing diagram?
What is a "sideways Z"?
The valves on the low point drains and winterize hose?
How/where does the hose reel connect? no connection is shown?

The sideways Z‘s are depicting check valves in the system with the arrows showing the allowed direction of the water flow. The hose reel connects to the city water input fitting as depicted on the diagram. Not familiar with The Entegras, maybe this fitting is behind the panel. You can see the fitting depicted for the Black water flush hose connection.

“The valves on the low point drains and winterize hose?“. Not sure what you’re asking with this question; these valves are depicted on your diagram.
The winterization valve is the one with the green squiggly line attached to it (just to the left of the water tank), your 3 low point drains are the ones pictured on the bottom left of the diagram with straight black lines coming out of them (2) 2-way valves and (1) 3-way valve.

One possible solution for using water while youíre filling the tank

If the above schematic is correct, then making these modifications should let you use your water pump for household use while youíre filling your tank. This will not address the double filtration issue you were asking about. I am not sure this modification would it be worth the effort (trust me, that has never stopped me from doing things before LOL ) but it should work.
You would need to replumb your tank fill line to just downstream of the filter and upstream of the water pump discharge. You would also need to add another check valve as depicted.
