Water going into the tank when positioned for house use
I have the valve positioned vertically to get water from the CG to the various outlets, however water also gets into the fresh water tank overfilling it and causing overflow water to come out and wet the ground. Anybody has suggestion about what may be causing this? Remedy? Thanks.

Either a bad selector valve in the wet bay or a bad check valve in your water pump. The latter can be solved by either a new water pump or by installing a check valve at the output of your existing pump. Many posts on this elswhere in the forum.

Would the check valve have a role even if the pump is off? Does the water go through the pump even when the pump is off and water comes directly from the CG faucet to the sinks?

Best solution is to go ahead and replace your water pump. Been there, done that.

Yes. City water, when connected, is on the output side of the pump. The tank is on the inlet side if the pump. The check valve in the pump keeps the city water from entering the tank through the pump.

That is a common issue on the Entegra owners forum.
We have the same issue, have it on the list to get fixed on 2 yr PDI (or is it now AIR).
We are on the way to Middlebury, will let you know next week what they do to fix it.

The expensive fix is most likely replacing the water pump. The much less expensive fix is to install an in-line check valve in addition to the current water pump. This problem is common. There are other things that could be wrong, but that is the most common.
Also, just try to move the valve back and forth several time and see if there is any chance that it is just not seated correctly. That happens some times also. ''

Install a 1/2 in. shark bite check valve in the pump output line. In the below picture make sure the arrow points away from the pump. Available at Home Depot or lowes.
Your pump May short cycle sometimes, but doesn't hurt a thing. Better than $400 for a new pump.

Mauro, depending upon the year/model of your coach, you might check your plumbing.
I was surprised to find that our late-build 2017 Aspire 44B had a shut-off valve installed by the factory.
Les at CS confirmed Entegra is aware of the problem, and installed the valves on a number of coaches. Thanks,
BG

His is a2014. One big problem with that valve is when you shut the valve you can't use the pump!

This has been reported a number of times and several were caused by high water pressure. Do you have an in-line water pressure reducer to control the pressure or water guage to check? We had the same issue and found it to be the pressure but just in case I also added the additional check valve.
Good luck.

Do some inexpensive (except for time involved) troubleshooting before you change your pump. Some good advice here before $$$ start rolling out.
