Yes it can. Remove the pump head (8 screws) gives you access to the whole assembly.

Good advice Mark. Now if I can just remember it when I'm out there! Thanks again.

Fresh water select valve

Can anyone elaborate on this subject or direct me to "the fix?"
We own a 2015 Aspire 44B.
Any assistance is gratefully appreciated.

Had same problem with our Anthem. Fixed by turning off incoming fresh water pressure, then changing valve position. Turn water pressure back on. No problem. Water level in tank holds. Hope this is helpful.

You can also get to the check valve by removing the three screws on the pressure cutoff switch (part on front with wires). The check valve is underneath it. Have taken this apart many times, never found any visible debris but put it back and it works fine for a while. IMO for whatever reason (design flaw?) the valve just doesn't seat properly sometimes, burping the pump seems to be an effective way to realign it.

I believe ENTEGRA may have added another check valve for 2017.

I'm at Entegra Service department for this same issue. There 'fix' is to install an on/off valve in front of the water pump. They told me, if you are using city water, turn this newly added valves 'off' which will stop a leaking water pump check valve from filling the fresh water tank. When using the water pump, you have to now turn this valve on. They stated this new valve is now standard in new builds.
I'm struggling to accept this as the 'fix'. In theory, this means that every time you leave a park with water hookups, you have to remove the panel in the wet bay, reach up near the water pump, and turn the valve on. If you don't remember to do this, then the toilet won't flush, the faucets won't work, the ice maker won't function, etc. as no water will get to the water pump. When you arrive at your next stop and reconnect to city water, you remove the access panel, reach up to the water pump, and turn the valve back off. Don't want to seem unreasonable, but I am struggling to accept this as the factory fix. It's probably better than nothing, but doesn't seem to be a fix for the real problem. Am I being unreasonable?

PJL, Not unreasonable at all. I have owned a few MH's over the years and this is the first type of pumps I have heard that have the stuck check valve problems. As with many vendor items, they are no longer made in the USA and the quality is just not there anymore. Easy fix for me if it starts on mine is to upgrade the water pump.
Being still under warranty, that would not be acceptable. I have a Classic..... it does not have the check valve problem and no manual valves.

PJL, I agree that "fix" is absurd. Instead of a manual valve, why couldn't they install a separate check valve between the water tank and the water pump? That would prevent backfill into the tank from the water pump and require no intervention by the user.

Had that same problem since new and monitored it until CS advised to change fresh water tank fill valve. Changed it to a ball-valve type shut off and have had it only overflow one time. So I guess it is the pump but it seems to work fine when needed. Now I monitor the water and shut it off at the source every time we leave the coach.

I was wondering the same thing (installation of a secondary check valve). Just didn't know if the leak was a slow leak from the water pump check valve, if the 'low pressure leak' would be sufficient pressure to activate the closure of the secondary check valve. Probably would be, but not 100% sure. If so, then you would think with the number of failures that are reported on the forum, that this would be a cheap solution to implement into the production line.

No, you are not being unreasonable at all. This is rediculous! With all the problems they are having with this pump model perhaps it is time to put in something better than a $50.00 pump in a $500,000.00 motorhome.
