Abe, headed back there in a few weeks, will bring the motor home back to DFW as the season out there will be over. Hope you get the water pump primed, you know, driving the rig may help shake things up to where the water begins to work. Hope so.

Good Morning everyone!! Well, issue solved! At least for now! Not sure what did it. I tried OKCNewbie procedure several times with no success. So I took off for my trip.

Just before arriving to my overnight spot, at a loves gas station, I decided to drain the fresh tank and kind of start again with a clean slate. So I opened the low point on the tank and let I drained the rest of the way into the overnight spot. I closed the drain valve once no more water was coming out of the tank. Connected the city connection with the valve to use city convection (vertical) and went to do my business inside.

Next AM I went to the wet bay only to find out that the tank had 55 percent or so of water!!! Not sure how that happened, maybe I have some leak in the inlet valve of some sort. In any case, I tried the procedure again, this time I did not disconnect the city hose however I closed the flow at the source. It worked! Water started flowing out and eventually after closing the outside shower, the pump pressurized the system and stopped.

So not sure what is going on. I am now down in Daytona hooked up to city water so I will take a close look into that water tank level and see if it moves. The pump worked flawlessly on my second leg of the trip (Mobile - Daytona).

Thanks again to everyone that chimed in with ideas or comments. I really appreciate it!

Will let you guys now.

Regards.

OK this is what I know. The blockage is after the pump and not before the pump. Instead of opening the outside shower you can open the low point drain which is on the same tube. The mid bath toilet is on that connection also. I had a bad pump originally, I'm assuming that some debris maybe rubber from the pump is in the line where the city and pump connect. The good news is it's a very short run. The bad news is the wet bay wall will have to come down for access.

Abe, just for comparison, with our 2014 Aspire, when prepping to depart, I will sometimes get air in the system while on city water. Pump will prime with an open faucet. I usually use the outside shower since I am there dumping tanks. And sometimes at rest stops, we will lose prime but flushing a little more water does the trick. Guessing our smooth roads contribute to that.
I also can lose prime when our fresh water tank gets below 50%. I consider all those as normal.

Thanks!

I now have decided to use 100 percent my tank (and pump) also when city connection is available. I was told by a reputable source (NRVTA) that our pump, when connected to city water, acts like a one way valve. Eventually the back pressure to the pump can and will damage the pump. I see this possible. I guess eventually I might stop filling up the tank constantly and just settle in replacing or fixing the pump when needed.

Thanks to all again.

Check the screen to see if it is loose. If it losses it's prime you are getting air
