Water Pressure Regulators

I installed my Renator water pressure regulator, replacing a hose end type. I turned the water in before I removed the hose end regulator and showed 30psi. After removing the hose end regulator the pressure went to 45psi. Water pressure at the inside faucets is noticeably better.

A good water pressure regulator doesn't restrict flow, just pressure. Cheaper 'regulators' only reduce pressure by reducing flow rate. When all faucets are turned off, pressure can build in the system to higher levels than you want it to be.

I use the on-board pump ......consistent 50 psi

Still have Watts adjustable that I use at spigot/hose bibb to control pressure while filling fresh water tank and when using the Black Tank Flush System

Had a leak back in 2008 while sleeping when connected to city water.
Flooded.......$6000

Never used 'city water' connection again.
Fresh water tank and pump ONLY

Turn pump OFF at night, when we go outside or when we leave.
Easy Peasy....and pressure is same no matter where we go

That was my point, the cheap, hose-end “regulator” restricted flow.
