Water tank

My tank was at 45% and now it is full but I have not switched the water control. I have also noticed water is leaking from the tank and it is not just a little.

Any suggestions?

Had a similar thing happen and it was the internal check valve of the water pump had failed and when I was on city water it was filling the fresh tank. Went to Lowe’s and got a Sharkbite PEX check valve and installed it and haven’t had issues in over 2yrs now.

The last post has been most of the problems with the tank filling while connected to city water for the reason mentioned.

You can check the in-coming water pressure if you don't have a pressure gauge connected (keep mine on about 50 lbs), and sometimes cycling the tank fill switch from city fill to tank fill and back a few times corrects a seal - worth a try.

There is a tank drain valve on the bottom of the tank protruding down below the basement floor. That valve can be turned open to drain the tank or closed normally. Check that valve.

It would really help all of us other owners if You would always tell us the year, model, and manufacturer of your coach. Although all Entegras there are many differences over years and models so without that information we are just shooting in the dark with our comments.

Your private information says you own a 35' Holiday Rambler which I know nothing about so I have no idea if I am giving you information that is correct or not.

This is from the 2021 Aspire Owner's Manual:

I believe that the "Off" position for the Shower Miser valve has the lever pointed down.

Although a failed check valve on the water pump is a common cause of a filling fresh water tank whenever hooked up to city water, unless yours has suffered infant mortality, I'd first check the Shower Miser.

Also, your fresh water tank has an overflow relief. If the tank is full and more water is pushed into the tank, it will flow out of the tank thru the overflow to prevent damage to the tank from overpressure and you'll see that running onto the ground at the same rate that it's flowing into the tank.

Take care,
Stu

Thank you Stu! Makes sense why it is happening.
