Water tank and water pump
On my 15 Aspire I Noticed that the water pump started sucking air just under the 33% full level, making the bottom 1/3 of the water tank unusable. I like to travel with water, but not too much to keep the weight down. On my Monaco I could go down to under 5%.
Is this common for Aspire models? Or do I have to see if I have a line issue to check out?
Thanks!

It is not common, I can take the tank to almost empty with the pump. Al models use the same pump and tank setup, so it would not be model specific.

You may have the situation where the fresh water level sensor is on the PS of the coach and the pump takes water from the DS of the coach. My 2014 is this way. Tip a bit to the DS and the pump should continue to run.

Great point. The tanks are not that high, so a slight variation in level will impact the sensors and connections.

On my classic I can see the water tank level from-the wet bay so I don't pay much attention to the sensor reading.

Water tank and water pump
The coach is parked and level. I checked and the water level was above the pickup tube, as far as I could tell. So I’m wondering if what I saw really is the pickup tube? If it is (see picture) and the water level is above this outlet why would it suck air? Just another weird thing to ponder, I guess. The water level in the picture is at 50%, and it works fine.

It's possible that there is a small hole in the pick up tube, or that the tube is not pushed into the tank far enough.
If you're referring to the tube at the near end of the picture, *I* wouldn't expect that to be the pickup tube.
I'd expect that to be either a drain or fill tube. Following that tube as far as you can may answer the question. I'd expect the pickup tube to come out of the top of the tank, rather than the bottom. Just to keep 'gunk' from flowing down into the tube.
OR for the pickup tube to come up from the bottom and rise into the tank a bit.
I guess it could be that there is an elbow on that tube inside that tank that keeps it from drawing water from the very bottom of the tank.
Edit: I looked at the picture more closely and I see that tube is an inch or so above the bottom of the tank. So it could indeed be the pickup tube and still not be getting the junk off the bottom. Have you followed that tube to see where it goes? I'd expect it's first stop to be the water pump.

If your fresh fill valve is open or winterization valve is turned wrong (easy to bump) that can cause it.

This would be my guess also, probably winterization valve not positioned correctly.

Wouldn't the winterization valve being wrong also affect the pumping when the tank is above 33%? That valve is much higher than the top of the tank.
Think I'll open the door in front of pass side rear wheels and check the placement of the pickup tube.
Thanks for all your help.

The pickup is on the drivers side end of the tank at the bottom. The winterizing valve doesn't have to be in wrong position just out of position. Yes it would affect above 33% if it was out of position then.
Your picture shows the correct position of pickup.
Also I don't believe the winterization valve is above top of tank. Should be with a couple valves just above wetbay floor level.
