We are ALL Entegra Classic owners now

It was just released, Entegra after the 26 year model will be transferring production to Tiffin. https://rvbusiness.com/entegra-coach...els-to-tiffin/
As an orphan Travel Supreme owner when TS closed their doors, two years before Entegra purchased them, it was no big deal. Some owners went off the deep end an sold their coaches at a big loss. Others kept theirs and enjoyed the heck out of them. I was in the latter Group, enjoying mine for 11 years. Travel Supreme were such outstanding coaches, mine sold for $5,000 over high book with three buyers within one week of being on the market. To this day there is still a buying market for Travel Supreme coaches. I feel the same will happen with our Entegras. Parts and service will always be available and NIRVC will always work on them. Not like some other dealers that turn there back once the name is gone. North Trails in Ft Myers did that with Travel Supreme.

I hope this works out well for Entegra and Tiffin.

Thor is the owner and they get to make the call on what is best for them.

I might be a little cautious before I bought an Alabama made Entegra but hopefully this is a win for both companies and customers.

Thor has recently announced similar actions in their towable segment for the DRV, Heartland, and Cruiser brands. All now to be manufacturered at Jayco and closing those respective plants.

A friend of mine purchased a '22 Allegro Bus 45 OPP and has been suffering ever since. Numerous return trip to his dealer for corrective repairs and multiple trips back to Red Bay; each time he was promised that Tiffin would make it right for him. He's retained an attorney to pursue a Lemon Law remedy.

I'm pretty sure that he'd disagree with the following excerpt from the article:

“Tiffin is known for producing some of the highest quality motorhomes in the market, and we’re honored to bring that same level of excellence to the Entegra Coach brand,” said Leigh Tiffin, president of Tiffin Motorhomes. “We have an experienced and passionate team that takes great pride in their work, and we’re excited to uphold and continue the strong reputation Entegra has built over the years.”

Take care,
Stu

So Entegra goes the way of Pontiac, Oldsmobile, DeSoto and Mercury cars. I am saddened. The Bontragers must be saddened too, along with all the longstanding loyal, talented employees in Middlebury who made it such a joy for me to be an Entegra owner for 12 years. I send them my thanks and my condolences.

It would be easy to be the…”the sky is falling”…kind of person. If I was to ask a question, are they going to revert to the Tiffin approach to walls, slides, etc….those core things? That would push me towards Newmar; the Newmar and Entegra approach was superior to the other mid-range class A manufacturers.

I wonder how long before Tiffin gets rolled into the Thor Diesel Pusher line.

I also wonder if this move was telegraphed to dealers. When I was at NIRVC in Las Vegas I was surprised by how few new Entegra DP coaches were on the lot. Now that kind of makes sense.

Now’s the time to get a good deal! It would be entertaining to hear the song and dance at the homecoming.

Well, I should have a front row seat then.

The mighty THOR has spoken.

Score one for California and the ACT copycat states. All DP coach builders are faced with a shrinking market.

I agree. This will be a boost to Newmar sales at the expense of Entegra…er…Tiffin…er….Thor.

That’s what I was wondering about. I thought Entegra had hung walls like Newmar? AFIK, all of the Tiffins have laminated walls.

Sounds like it will be like Chevy/Buick/Olds where they will build the same product on a single line just with different badges.

Makes sense from a corporate cost perspective but I’m sure that Entegra owners are disappointed.
