I have zip tied our outside unit to some cables behind the front hood of our DP. It gives me fairly accurate temps at this location which is out of the sun and rain.

Thnaks for that info. The classic has been very accurate, but didn't have a clue about the new models A new weather station is on my list of things to be ordered for the new coach.

I have the same type of monitor, I have a 1" square Velcro on the back of the sensor, with the other 1" square on the passenger side window. It seems to be working well. We usually have the over the door awning out so it is shaded. I am curious, if you put it under a slide will it stay there or do you have to remove it each time of use?

We put ours under the slide, close to the body, and bring it in when we move. Made sure to put it on the checklist.

I have a weather station with four additional sensors. I keep the main station on the dinette table, one in the bedroom, one in the bay where I store my spray cans, one in the sewer bay, and the last in the wet bay.

The main station cycles through all five every minute or so.

That way if it gets too cold I can move some things or add a heater where needed.

Use good quality Velcro (needs to be removed to change batteries). Look under the slide...you will see a long piece on angle iron. Place the sensor on the outside edge of the angle iron and the edge of the slide. The slide stop at the inside edge of the angle iron, no need to remove, the angle iron protects anything mount on the other side.

My classic does seem off... my spartan computer outside temp reads usually 5 degrees different then my radio screen temp reading... never know which one to believe...

I guess our weather station is a bit of over kill but solving tha challenge of installing a Davis Weather station and sensor suite was too inviting to pass up. Tall enough to keep it away from heat from the roof.

I'm thinking Spartan is reading engine intake temperature, just before the turbo.

I keep mine in the propane bay, Under the main slide would aldo be a good spot.

Considerations. Must be open to air, insulated cover is nice but open to air so it sees temps Avoid engine exhaust (a 2nd one feels engind waste heat) and other heat sources.

The wet bay is where i' d like to put a 2nd sensor it is heated but I'd like to know how much.
