Well the time has come!

We have decided stop RVing in The TAJ! Since we built our new home in Florida, we don’t live on her full time and can’t stand seeing her cooped up for 6-7 months a year. Hopefully someone will be able to fulfill their traveling dreams aboard her in the future. We sure did! In 55k miles we travelled in and through 49 states and 4 Canadian provinces, traveling in supreme comfort!

We improved her, making several modifications gleaned from the “Modifications” thread on this forum. And many many times we learned invaluable lessons and avoided trouble by reading this forum often.

There is no way I could thank everyone on this forum but I would like to make special note of a couple of contributors who really improved my RVing. First and foremost is Cruzer, who led me away from my Allegro Bus 42QRP to my Cornerstone and together with Brobox, proved invaluable advice thru this forum, helping the entire community!

We’ve decided to shift our flag to a shorter fifth wheel and get into some of those National and State campgrounds that couldn’t fit The TAJ. So May thru September you will still see us traveling all across this great country, creating more and more memories!

Travel safe!

Nice to read of your decision to try something new in the new house. Congrats and it has been interesting to read of your successes and problems with the Taj over the years.

Good luck with the new phase in life. Take care and have fun in the fifth wheel when you hit the road again.

Gary

HI Rick, We greatly appreciated your " heads up " road conditions in Canada & Alaska as you were a week ahead of us and of course finally meeting in person in Washington. Life changes congratulations on your house ( we're in thinking mode ) and GOOD LUCK with the 5er getting into places too difficult with the BEASTS we own !

Sorry to see you go, although you don't have to go. You're just changing rides. Sounds like you got plenty of enjoyment out of the TAJ, with 49 states and 55K miles traveled. The fifth wheel will be different but it'll still be fun. Glad we could be of some help. I'm still working so the coach does get parked in out driveway for a lot of the year, although we're at about 55K as well. That is a bummer but hopefully it'll change for us soon and we can put on more miles. Looking forward to hearing about your new RV choice. I've reviewed a number of fifth wheels and there are quite a few nice ones out there, with newer brands such as Grand Design and Alliance RV really stepping up the game as far as construction goes.

I’ve been passed by the Taj on I-75 and thought what a pretty coach that is. Your input on this forum will be missed. Have a great time on your next chapter.

Don't be a stranger here, just because you have changed from an Entegra to a 5th wheel doesn't mean we don't want you hanging around the forum anymore! Hopefully I will meet up with y'all again sometime in the future. Safe travels
