What am I doing wrong?

Trying to get some heat, set zone 1,2&3 to Gas Heat.
Heat comes out on 1&3, BUT #2 heat pump runs.
If I set #2 to off #1&3 go off.

That is not right. Might try resetting the thermostat by pulling the fuse inside of the thermostat cover, if the 2106 are the same thermostats as the 14-15's.

The new 2016s work really strange. Have not totally understood it yet. There are several combinations and I have had one that will do. What you describe. I do not think you have anything broken, just need a different combination. IF you have zone 2 on gas AND set. On HIGH fan instead of auto, the number 2 AC fan will run all the time. Not positive where I finally set mine to get floor heat but will check Tuesday when I get back to the coach. Worse case you can turn zone 2 off and heat will come out of all floor registers with zones 1&3 on gas heat. All JMHO

I thought the 2016 anthem's were all electric. I am getting mine next month what do you mean gas??

Sorry, the thermostat uses the term gas for the Aqua hot, which in an all electric coach is diesel fired. You will get an all electric coach with a diesel fired Aqua hot and gas terminology on your thermostat. Makes perfect sense..no???😃. Of course you can use the electric element only on the Aqua hot and then you have a truly all electric coach. Confused again? I am, the whole HVAC system on the 2016s is much better but a little complicated. Have you dealer give you complete details on your walk through. It is a very powerful system but takes a little practice to get the best benefits from it.

Interesting, thanks Gene. I think I will withhold any comments on 2016's as I don't have any experience with one. I did see a few but that is all I know about the changes.

Chuck, I showed my ignorance at the dealership. My neighbor was picking up his new Cornerstone and we went along. It was cool so he turned on the heat and said he set it all to gas and the center AC fan came on and the floor registers with heat. I told him something was wrong so he started a list. When the tech came out in the morning Ed told him, he started laughing and said operator error. So........I learned the hard way😊

For what it's worth. On our '16 Anthem zone #2 floor heat (set to gas-meaning diesel) did not work, even set at 85* overnight, floors did not get warm. Zones 1+3 worked fine with the toe space heaters. We were told it was a software programming issue, but no further explanation was given.
