We just got back from there and x2 65 was terrible! I just cringed the whole time.

For me it would be easy, Middlebury east to I-75 all the way home. I-65 was rough and we may just go I-75 home.

Was it one particular section of 65, or all the way up from Nashville?

I thought I posted this yesterday, but i must have goten lost in the ether.

We take 75 up to Cincinnati and then over to I-65 in Indy. Pretty easy routing.

We will be coming from Nashville, so can't use 75 to Indy. Do the probems on 65 exist all the way from nashville to Indy, or can someone pin-point the problem areas so I can plan a partial detour?

Marc, my experience is it is just a rough road, where you feel every joint in the cement pavement. It is the same on I80 crossing Indiana. I noticed an improvement when crossing into MI on I65 going on up to Spartan at Charlotte. I don't know that I'd go significant miles to avoid. It is just a PITA in Indiana. No matter how you come North you can't avoid IN roads. I would say, not as bad as I10 West of new Orleans or I40 East of Williams, if that gives you a reference point, but that's not saying much.

Thanks dave, that helps. But I did see something online about I-65 construction north of Nashville, so if anyone has been through there recently I'd like to get an updated report.

DW has an iPhone/Pad app that has the latest on construction (and police/highway patrol reports that we don't use since I never speed). When she rises this AM, I'll pass the name. It is very good for construction areas.

We took that route last year and it was a lot better. Cincinnati had some bad roads around gown but other than that it was much better than 65. Once at Indy we take 31 up to 20 then over to Middlebury. Both 31 and 20 have had nice improvements.

I had posted a bit about 65 from Nashville to Indy. Many different construction zones and between them the road is rough. Vibrated the microwave plug from the outlet. Came up the road last Friday. You cringe every time you hit a bad spot and that is every 50 to 100 yards. Good luck.

Was that the whole way from Nashville to Indy or one particular section?
