What to expect at Precision?

We will be at Precision Painting shortly to get (hopefully) some scratches buffed out and a few other warranty issues as well as installation of the air-actuated generator slide system. If you have been there, for service/warranty issues, were you able to sleep in your coach or did you have to go to a motel? I understand that, if they need to redo paint instead of buffing, we will have to leave it. However, hoping that they can just buff out the scratches.

Swenster is on his way there, left this morning. Paul at Precision told him they would need the coach for 3 days, his is a small area of peeling paint. He booked at the Red Roof Inn becasue of the dogs as they are pet friendly. From what Tom told me there was a couple of Precision shops, so you might check and see if they have parking for the one you are headed to.

From my last experience with PP they traded scratches for swirls. Look it over carefully after they say they're done.

Years ago, we were able to sleep in the rig with 50 amp. Obviously, they had it all day.

Closest Red Roof Inn is in Elkhart. Correct?

We just spent two days at the interior shop on West North Street this week. They have four parking spots around their building with 50amp plugs and water spigots, and a 5th spot with just the electric...all are accessible after hours, with room to park your toad. Paul is very accomodating about access to your coach during the day...and they often work on it while parked outside. They are very busy this time of year!

We arrived yesterday afternoon at Precision in Bremen, IN. We got the last spot with water and 50 amp. The roads from Nashville on hwy 65 were so bad the microwave power plug vibrated out. We have very little work to do but thought it would be a good stop on the way to Spartan for alignment, 44 point inspection and fix the steering feedback like Chuck had dome. Will keep all posted.

Aren't you going to have your coach (in your avatar) repainted while there?

Yes, the Red Roof is just north of 80 by Elkhart. Pet friendly at no additional charge. Super 8 wanted $15. Per night per dog!

The finish stays as posted in our avatar. Eddie would not want it changed. "They call that an Rrr Vvv Clark"

Problem with staying in the coach is that you need to be out of it by 6 AM. No thanks, easier to get a room. DW would not be happy getting up 5 hours before normal.

When we were there last year, it was 6:30 to 7...but a lot depends on how much time you are giving them to do the work and how busy they are (WRT folks wanting hookups).
