What toad are you pulling?

I am beginning a search for a toad.

Just thought it would be interesting to know what(if?) other entegra owners own.

I am in no rush-- but want to be ready if the right deal comes up

Most of the time I am pulling a trailer anyway and can not pull a car, but I would like to narrow it down To one or two vehicles. Whatever I get, it needs to be able to fit 2 car seats for grandkids.

So far,I have looked at Subaru outback, Honda crv, and various jeeps. Also, considered Chevy enclave.

Thanks to all!

Not an Entegra owner, but we're towing a GMC Acadia (same chassis as the Enclave, which is a Buick, not Chevy). Great car, tows easily, pull one fuse (I put in a switch) and you're on the road. We use the Air Force One braking system, also a flawless component.

Enjoy the search!

Anything that can be a toad probably is a toad. But I see many Jeeps (especially Wranglers) and CRVs.
I'm a Wrangler toader.

We are towing a 2005 Honda Odyssey (towed a 2000 Odyssey 55k miles before) ...great room inside and very comfy car. Honda stopped official approval for 4-down towing of most of their cars after 2004 but for most models nothing changed. Store : Remco can provide good info on what is required to tow a specific car.

If i had it to do over I'd have kept my Vette and trailered it.

That said, you can see what I'm pullin', but aI'd go with a Jeep Wrangler, maybe 10-15 years old so I could open it up to the open air when I wanted.

Toads are all about what your needs are. We had a Ford Edge and loved it but our needs changed so we traded it in for an Acadia. We needed a car that could tow 5000 lbs and be towed also it needed to be a good road car. Toads, like just about everything else, are all about personal preference. Unfortunately, many of the new cars that used to be towable, no longer are. BTW, the Acadia now needs 2 fuses pulled but other than that, it does tow well.

I tow a 2010 Lincoln MKT. It tows great. And drives like a Lexus. Seats seven. It is the most factory-approved luxurious tow car I could find.

I towed a 1993 Suzuki Sidekick for 7 years and loved it. The back seat was tiny and probably wouldn't work for car seats. About 3 months ago I bought a motorhome and car combio. I now have a 2005 Honda CR-V and love it. The former owners towed it and now it trails along behind me. Lots of room and very comfortable.
