We stayed at Tiger Run in 2016 and had a great site. It was very easy to back into. We had a wonderful time visiting the area.
It's actually interesting, some places folks really enjoy, others not so much. As we didn't really like Mountain Views in Creede, CO and Hearthside Grove in Petoskey, MI, others think they are wonderful. Always take peoples likes/dislikes into consideration, and their experiences at a certain place, but in some cases, it might be best to experience that particular campground yourself.

We left Tiger Run just yesterday after having spent the last 5 weeks there.
My experience was that there was one groundskeeper who was generally unhappy, but the majority of the office staff was OK. Frankly, I think it’s hard to get good help in Breck in part due to the cost of living.
I really think one thing they should do is to escort people to their sites. I can’t tell you how many people we watched circle the CG endlessly. That is really a shame. In fact, we took to helping people find their sites on occasion.
I agree with the comment about the low water pressure. I really wish they could do something as this is truly aggravating. I wound up filling the tank every day.
The area itself is wonderful, especially so if you acclimate and don’t have respiratory issues. I believe the elevation at the CG is 9200’ and Breck proper sits around 9600’.
While there I drove to Denver for work numerous times, and that experience merely reinforced my desire to avoid driving through Denver in the RV as much as possible. I’m sorry but some Colorado drivers exhibit a nasty combination of aggressive driving with a total lack of situational awareness.
We drove to Angel Fire, N.M. and dined in Taos. Angel Fire is a really nice resort, in many ways superior to Tiger Run.
Tomorrow we get to sample Ruidoso Motorcosch Ranch on our way home to the heat an humidity.

We loved Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch .... just beautiful and very relaxing .... So far my top 5 RV parks are Ruidoso MC, Bella Terra (of course), Elkhorn Ranch RV and Mountain View in Huber, UT, and Traverse BAy in MI. Will be experiencing Polson Motorcoach Resort in a couple days. Safe travels to all ....

FYI, for those in the Breckenridge area I was asked some questions privately that might serve the group by posting here. Plus, I can’t figure out how to attach images to a PM!
Routing: The question asked was departing Breck to the south. Highway 9 is fine. It does have some tight hairpin turns, but the road is extremely wide at each corner. Frankly, far less stressful than I-70. We always pull our pickup with no worries. At the top of the pass is a Continental Divide with a decent paved pull off. Coming down the hill to the south are routine mountain corners, nothing very technical. The first town after Highway 9 straightens out is Alma. Be very cognizant of your speed as I’ve only come through once when the local PD wasn’t aiming at downhill traffic with a radar gun. After Alma, speeds increase to 65 MPH briefly. Also be advised that as you climb a small hill before entering Fairplay, the speed begins to reduce to 55, and then slows very quickly after the peak of the hill, during the downhill into Fairplay to 30 MPH. At the very bottom of the hill Highway 9 makes a T into Highway 24, follow that for 25 miles to Buena Vista where you join Highway 285 which takes you almost all the way to Taos. Join 64 and you arrive in Taos. In general, be careful to undershoot posted limits as there are some unexpectedly tight corners, particularly NE of Buena Vista.
If you’re looking to go to Texas, Highway 9 joins 24 for a mile west of Fairplay then branches off due south. Follow this south to Pueblo and join I-25 to Raton and start going eastward.
Fuel: Personally, I found fueling in Frisco to be much easier logistically and less expensive than other options. I prefer the Valero on the West side of Summit just south of I-70 (see attached image). This Valero is in front of the Safeway and there are 2 primary means of entry. I either use the traffic signal to make a left at Lusher, or turn prior to Valero into the Safeway parking lot and navigate to Valero that way. Exiting the pump islands depends upon your orientation. If parked facing north, exit onto Lusher or circle the Valero and exit the 2nd driveway on Summit (Safeway Parking lot again). DO NOT attempt to use the first driveway from Valero directly onto Summit or expect to drag your empennage.
I hope this helps.
-Matt
P.S. The thick cut bacon at the Safeway meat counter is simply amazing!!!

Angel Fire, NM. Just a really nice CG overall. This town doesn’t have much going on, but Taos is a 35 min drive over the mountain.
Read the info on how to get there, essentially you don’t want to approach or depart Angel Fire towards the south. Your GPS will route you over NM-434 or NM-120. These are not good routes for coaches of our length.
Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch. Pretty much 29 spaces to rent in a small slice of heaven. Really nicely paved, wide roads and sites. Excellent utilities including great water pressure. The views are amazing and because the sites have a hill between them and the road, hardly any noise. The entry is a tail pipe scraper, so Anthem and Cornerstones should use your Hadley to gain some suspension height before attempting. We took it slow and everything worked out.

Picture with rolling circus is from Angel Fire. Picture with Pot-O-Gold under rainbow is Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch.

Hi Matt,
I'm familiar with the Valero at that location but never got up the nerve. The
height limitation of the roof, over the pumps, says 13 feet. I take it, you've done it...dang that's gotta be tight.
Cheers!

You know, now that I think if it, you're probably referring to the pumps on the south side...duh!! My bad.

Grand Canyon South Rim. We're with the grand kiddos at Grand Canyon Williams KOA. Visited Bearizona - great for all ages. next over to the South Rim, just can get enough of the views - my 10 yr od grandson is a photographer in the making. Stunning views, especially at Mather Point, although the entire canyon is awesome. Last day here today then off one Las Vegas area tomorrow.

When are you going to be in Polson? We are heading to Polson Motorcoach Resort tomorrow (August 2) and will be there for two weeks.

We just spent two wonderful weeks in Petoskey at the Hearthside Grove Motor Coach Park. Great place, one of the nicest parks in the country. We are now in Ypsilanti at Detroit/Greenfield RV Park. This is a nice park but can get muddy when it rains. Headed to the owners class at Spartan Motors next week.
