Do finishes on any coach look good in videos? I'd really like to know your definition for looks "cheap". We looked at a lot of coaches and NONE of them compare to an Entegra for fit and finish. NONE.

I just looked at the American Coach web site. I'm sure they build a quality coach but nothing really jumped out and impressed me.

Entegra has a couple of floor plans that we like, only saw 1 in the American line. Enter has more standard items that were options on the AC.

We plan to attend the Hershey RV Show in September and look at our short list in person.

If we buy new in the next year or so most likely it will be an Aspire or Insignia. If we find a good deal on a 3-4 year old Anthem or Cornerstone it would be hard to pass up. I'm talking a 2017 bought used in 2020. LOL

I spent almost 5 years doing my due diligence before purchasing our Entegra. We drove almost every major brand and attended every dealer show and the Tampa show for 3 years before making our decision.

I would talk to owners of other brands. Just had a new neighbor move in next to me and he had a Winnebago and the first words out of his mouth was" I would never buy another one". You don't hear that from Entegra owners. Many are on their second or third Entegra coach.

How many companies offer cherry interiors? I have been in multi million dollar homes that don't have the fit and finish of the Entegra. I have been in the wood coatings business for over 20 years so I know what a good lacquer finish should look like.

And last but not least, they have the best customer service in the industry.

Like I said, our opinion might change when we go to look at them in a couple of weeks. Everyone has different likes and dislikes about anything. Some may love their Winnebegos, others would hate them. Entegra is no different. At this point, that is my opinion.
If it changes next month when we go look, I'll post.

Boy, you Entegra owners are a touchy lot.

We jumped on our current coach because it ticked the boxes we needed for now. After moving into it we have found that we could have done things differently and had more room. Lesson learned.

Our current RV has some warranty issues and it's taking what I feel is a long time correcting them. Again, lesson learned.

We will make it work for the time being. Our next coach will be a much better researched endeavor.

it's an RV forum.

[MOD EDIT]

I will reserve final judgement when I drive, see, feel, touch one in person next month. No brand is ruled out.

I wish you well in your quest for finding the motor home that fits your needs. I searched for a long time before I landed on Entagra and now a year later we're so happy with our decision that we're looking seriously at Cornerstones.

In my opinion all RVs break or have issues because they all use the same suppliers, however I don't know of another company that stands behind their product like Entegra. The first week I had my coach, I received a phone call from the Joyce(service manager) who gave me her personal phone number to use 24/7 if needed. Yes, she's a true peach.

As for the construction, all the walls are hung and the interior is 1/2 inch plywood, very solid. And a 2 year UNCONDITIONAL warranty. Nobody else even comes close.

Just my opinion, but after owning several other brands I feel vindicated when I say Entegra stands head and shoulders above the others...

"Boy, you Entegra owners are a touchy lot."

I will admit though, MY Newmar Mountain Aire was a great coach - too bad I picked the wrong one initially, I picked a gas model (2004) NOT a diesel. I may still have that coach today - not sure...

Far from the truth. There are plenty of people who regret buying Entegras, especially from the '13 and '14 years. Heck, go on the Entegra Facebook site, and you can read about one such owner who absolutely just loves their Entegra (sarcasm). My job lets me hear from some owners who don't think highly of them. Trust me, they're out there.

As someone who is strongly considering an Entegra, I think they are great coaches, but there isn't a manufacturer out there without any disgruntled customers.

Just attended Springfest. Entegra had lots of techs on site doing adjustments and warranty work at no charge. They want satisfied owners. We are on number 2 a 16 Anthem 44B and love the coach and the support of Entegra. The 13 Aspire was great also and all issues were handled with no drama.

Cranemec, I honestly believe there is another owners group much more brand sensitive then this Entegra group. I also believe after owning 6 motorhomes, 5 different manufacturers over 30+ years that we have finally purchased a coach built with the construction values/entegrity that existed from some back in the mid 90's when we owned a very relianle SOB .

I totally understand your desire to own the best your money will buy.

GOOD LUCK in your search !

I personally find it a bit disingenuous when a person comes on a list, essentially says that the $400,000 expenditure that others have made is a POS, and then concludes with something like "Let the flaming begin....." and then turns around and accuses the responders of being too sensitive!!

I have never known someone to ever do a serious preliminary evaluation of a $400-500,000 investment by looking at a few pictures on a web site. Due diligence and good judgement would involve actually inspecting the fit and finish of a coach before throwing out an accusation to others. Here is my suggestion..... go actually look through an Entegra (or any other brand for that matter) and really evaluate all the issues that are important to you, and then come back with a serious opinion to the reflector. My belief is that everyone on this forum will consider your observations and your opinions with the same seriousness that they consider anything else posted here. I have found this forum to contain more serious and evenhanded owners than I have encountered on other forums.

Visit all the coaches you can afford, and then come back and tell us your findings and we will respect what you have to say. JMHO

Let me say that I never intended to start this tread looking for trolls. I am just looking for honest real world experience and opinions on a product.

I appreciate all the input from you folks that own this coach and respect your position.

At this point I have 2 brands on my short list and may add more once I visit the Hershey RV Show this year. However, based on my researching Entegra through this forum I feel it's at the top of my list based on construction and value.

Thanks for the information and sorry if I accidentally stirred the pot.
