In most coaches, not all the lights are on the inverter by-pass circuit--figure out which ones arent and leave one on--light goes out means no shore power--easy-peasy

Are shut-down sequences able to be adjusted to do that?
This is on Entegra's and they do not have load shedding.

X2
OR connect one of these:
Emergency Lighting and Exit Signs | Emergency Lighting | Lithonia EU2 LED M12 2 Head Emergency Unit W/ Adjustable Optics | B442239 - GlobalIndustrial.com.
When 120V power goes OFF the lights come on.

Not until the 2015 model year, that is. They are now using the Precision Circuits PCS system, which sheds loads but does not yet have inverter assist. Inverter assist will most likely be added in the 2016s.

That was true in earlier years but most class A motorhomes built in recent years now have all the interior outlets on the inverter due to improvements in inverter technology. There generally are a few non-inverter receptacles in the basement area, such as engine block heaters, etc.

My coach has an annoying outlet that is not on the inverter -- located in the passenger seat right arm console.

Annoying because DW likes to plug in her laptop or other items as we drive down the road -- since it's not on the inverter I must use an extension cord that runs from an outlet near the kitchen.

Designers / engineers really need to live in these coaches for 30 days a year as well as design them.

Just my opinion.

That's the way our '02 DSDP is. All interior plugs are running off the inverter, not sure about the block heater as I've never tried it when off grid.

I wonder if they missed it during the build -- it's on my PDI for next year.

Or could it be because I have two inverters and you have one?

Either way -- that particular outlet is the one outlet I need on the inverter

At least one of our bedroom outlets is not on the inverter. Of course it's the one that is best for the clock so each time we stop I have to remember to reset the time!

What made me ask the question here is, We un hooked from a 50 amp the other day and took off down the highway. Wifey went to turn on tv above to check weather channel. TVs would not turn on. fridge was off stove etc,, well some how the inverters turned them selves off. i always turn off ac and all other major stuff and kill the 50 amp breaker and unhook plug last just this time it turned the inverters off So thats why i asked. it usually does not do this i thought i may have missed a step.

For this discussion inverters come in two.2 flavors

One: Stand alone: these you turn off when connected to shore power

Stand alone inverters converte 12 volt to 120 volt, they do not have a 120 volt INPUT line.

IN-Line: These have two sets of 120 volt connections, IN and OUT, my Prosine 2.0 is of this and the next (Sub) class. I leave the inverter module on full time.. IF shore power should fail (Which has happened twice so far last month alone) the TV's and computer do not even blink, the computer will, however, go off-line cause the park router is lost but nothing else changes.

In-Line with a charger module... Normally you will leave the charger module on.. I do not because I like the Factory installed converter's charge profile better So I let the Progressive Dynamics 9180+wizard do the charging and keep the Prosine in reserve, just in cuss I accidently unplug the PDI (Seems I usually figure out I unplugged it long about 3am and no way am I getting dressed and plugging it back in when I can just flip a switch on the prosine remote panel)
