They could put the washer/dryer stack on a pullout sliding tray, like the batteries are on the pre-17's. I know, it costs money to do that, but I would gladly pay it.

That might be better. You would have to remove the toilet to slide it out completely, and you would still have to secure it from the top, which means the whole face frame problem would still be there. The design of the top hold down is pretty lame.

Marc- funny you mentioned that. I was remembering a photo I think Don(757 Driver) took at the factory when the guy was loading a new washer in. I made the same comment then about the slides. I know I would not do that job myself anymore.
What I was wondering was- how much 3/4 to long hanging do you really need?
It would be nice to have the W/D on separate pull out trays, side by side with shelving above located maybe mid point in the available space.
Depending on what we wind up with, I know I am going to look at that as a possible mod. Better yet, maybe somebody is already measuring....

As great as a sliding tray for the washer and dryer would be I cannot see one being sturdy enough to take the shaking that goes on during the spin cycle on the washer.

Speaking of all the shaking on spin cycle, we noticed that beginning w/ the 2017 models, Entegra stacks the dryer directly on the washer. Seems like this would cause additional stress during spin and traveling. Metal on metal doesn't give much cushion. At least with the shelves (2016 and earlier) there is separation plus easier access.

Mine is a 2017 and the dryer sets on a shelf six inches above the washer.

All the 2017s we toured at Quartzsite had the dryer sitting directly on top of the washer with no shelf. Is yours an early 17?

Don, you may be correct. Rubber dampening feet might work too.
Even if the W/D sat on the deck that they do now, but placed side by side. The shelf above could be made removable or at least with an access panels on both sides so you would not have to go through the gyrations just to fix something.
Of all the mods out there, I know this is one we've discussed and would consider tackling. I don't have the talent that some of you guys have with woodworking, but we have a cabinet shop at work and I can take advantage of that. Still, if someone out there beats me to it, great.
There might be other factors that would make this not feasible such as engine components, structure/support, etc.

Our '16 Anthem Deq has no shelf. The dryer sits directly on the washer also

I believe it depends on the floorplan. My 2014 anthem had no shelf, they were stacked, same with my 2017 45b

Mine are on independent shelves and very easy to access either unit.

On our 2017 manufactured in Jan. 2017 the dryer sits right on top of the washer and an angle bracket with three screws into the top front of the washer holding them together.
