Debbie, we will be at Hearthside starting July and our neighbors will be with us in an Anthem.

Debbie, our campground is a bit northwest of that. We are centrally located between Petoskey / Traverse City and Gaylord / Torch Lake. I don't think I can give out the name on the thread but if you PM me I would be more than happy to provide details if you are in the area.

We spent a month at Petoskey Resort last year. Love that area in Michigan. Looking to go again considering other resorts in the area. Suggestions?

I've sort of forgotten my MI geography so I can't recall where Central Michigan is but Sunny Brook in near South Haven is an excellent resort.

I agree, but I would call that Southwest Michigan

Yes - I was thinking that it would depend on where you were coming from - it looks like the mileage to CMU is about the same. Neither is very close to Mount Pleasant apparently if he is trying to visit his alma mater.

I love Hearthside and wasn't able to stay at the Sunny Brook, but the people were great to deal with.

As I said - depends on your route - maybe both on the way in and out.

Thanks ya'll. As of right now, our plans are Mobile, Alabama to Nashville, TN (staying at Two Rivers Campground) for a couple of nights to see Nashville. Onto Akron, OH to pick up some friends (not sure where we are staying that night, maybe Walmart!) .. then onto CMU for two days ... then to Hearthside Grove for 5 days. Then to Spartan in Charlotte MI for the class. Then back to Alabama.

Should be a very busy, but informative trip.
