Who does this!?
Statistics show that well over half of RVers travel with pets. When you have to be in for service and you can't leave your pet in the coach, what do you do? All of the places we've been have a customer lounge and allow your dogs to stay with you. But sitting inside all day is hard for people, and for dogs it's even harder. Entegra has taken customer service to a new level by providing a fenced in area with beautiful grass, a shade structure, a comfortable bench, along with the dog waste station and water. It's beautiful. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for their thoughtfulness. Hope and Winston approve, too. Entegra does customer service right.

Nice addition with the shade canopy. That was not up yet in Aug. Without a question of a doubt, one of the nicest pet friendly service locations.

I'm not at all surprised by this addition. Just one more example of how Joyce and her staff actually care about their customers and their comfort.
After our visit to the factory last year I can only say good things about Entegra, and I don't even own one, YET!

Entegra has a great set up. Customer lounge is very nice, great rest rooms and even a shower. The dog area Beth posted about is great as well. Being able to stay in your coach during service and the two year PDI is/was wonderful. The day spent with PJ going over things we should know, but probably don't, was icing on the cake! Thank you, Entegra!

Has the dog policy changed or is there still discrimination against dogs over 35 pounds? I have "heard" though the grapevine that one of our owners had a incident with his large dog which has resulted in hardships and bad feelings for owners of larger dogs. I have a female chocolate lab who is now banned from the lounge even though she is far better behaved than the small yippee dogs currently allowed free range. Not bad in the summer but come December I don't expect to see many dogs left outside during service. Since I paid the same amount or more for my coach please explain the preferential treatment of customers with small dogs.

I don't know why the limit is 30 pounds (posted on the door) but I do know that while we were here, a couple with two large dogs were invited in because of the weather. They were very well-behaved dogs. It is my opinion that is not the size of the dog but the attitude of the owner that makes a difference. A yippy, small dog is irritating whereas a large well-behaved behaved dog is not.
Unfortunately I don't know of a politically correct sign that says "For the comfort of our customers, pets with stupid owners are not allowed in the lounge." Again, this is just my observation and opinion.

X a bunch. Marco is probably 32 pounds or so, so I guess we were law breakers for our 3 week plus stay.

What was the issue with the attitude of the owner of the two large well-behaved dogs that were invited in? What did they do that earned them the title "stupid owners"?

P.S.- Wasn't us. Our Coach is in Middlebury, but not our "Gentle Giants."

I think I may have confused you with two different incidents. The two well behaved large dogs did not have stupid owners. On the contrary, they were most considerate, most owners are, regardless of the size of the dogs.
However, at some point, there must have been a problem or there would not be a weight limit identified on the door. I did not witness the event, I have not even heard second hand, not my circus, not my monkeys. I am only trying to address the question posed to me regarding the 'why.' I could be wrong, there could be another reason other than inconsiderate owners.
I apologize if I've offended anyone, just speaking from experience.
I haven't met your Gentle Giants, yet, but hope to one day. Winston is always looking for friends to play with!

Several dogs over 30 lbs last week were in the lounge and it was fine. I don't think anyone will complain if you bring your dogs in if they behave themselves.

It's not sooo much behaved dogs/cats it's the disrespect for the humankind that may have an allergic reaction those items all pets leave behind. After all it is a lounge for humans not pets. ENTEGRA has gone to great expense to respect you for the love of your animal but how about you for the respect of your humankind? Just a thought but that's why the doggie corral is outside and not in.
