WiFi enabled Coleman/Airxcel thermostat coming "sometime this fall"?
For those of you yearning for a wifi/Bluetooth enabled remotely accessible programmable thermostat to replace our RVP/Airxcel/Coleman multi-zone proprietary network thermostat, Roger at Micro-Air (the Easy Start people) told me to expect one "sometime this fall". My Newmar New Aire has that capability included through the Silverleaf system. Makes it nice to be able to leave the coach for days at a time while still being able to monitor and adjust the temperature. JMHO

Has anyone purchased this thermostat? If so, any feedback? I sent them an email with a few questions and pending that info will most likely move fwd with the purchase.

I can see the desire for remote temperature monitor, less so for remote control, though perhaps it makes sense if you store the coach somewhere with power, or keep it at a campground near home for use on the weekends, ie pre-cool before departing on a trip.

This would be fantastic if it replaces/compatible with the old, never to be found again, can't be repaired, CCC dual zone thermostat in my coach. I don't much care about the Blu-Tooth but if this works in my system I'm all over it. I sure hope it works as advertised. If so, I'm buying it.

Sounds like another problem looking for the solution that was not needed.

Bah. Humbug!
People said that about things like automatic transmissions, power steering, air conditioning and computers.

WiFi enabled Coleman/Airxcel thermostat coming "sometime this fall"?
Rob, did they specifically mention it would be compatible with our classics and how they are zoned?
If so, I too would be greatly interested. Knowing what the coach is doing if our dog is home is a nice feature. I may hold off on another WiFi remote monitor. We ve got a Nest and was thinking of going with a Canary type that monitors environment.
Thanks for the info.
I see I may have spoken too soon, my controller is not shown in their compatibility chart.

Jay, coming this fall, hopefully it won't slip much. I'm hoping to be able to integrate it with eRVin.
So this is not for everyone but for Entegra owners at least, over the 7 years or so of being on this forum there have been many posts asking how to replace the totally proprietary, difficult to use, "dumb" Coleman thermostat with something "up to date" that is at least programmable.
The difficulty has been it's unique application and how it controls all three roof units via a 2 wire propietary network buss that communicates with each roof unit controller. Plus the additional ability to control the Aquahot. No other smart thermostat supports that proprietary protocol.
For me having tried an early prototype (from another now defunct vendor) of a WiFi based app with the ability to control my AC's and heating remotely, it is an incredibly convenient capability, and as an automation enthusiast, just plain cool. I have been able to do that in my [former] house for decades, it's about time we break thru this proprietary BS for RV's and boats.
This new tstat coupled with other non-proprietary automation options (like Coachproxy or eRVin) for remote control of lighting, shades, etc. has the potential to bring Entegra Vegatouch like capabilities to older non-Vegatouch coaches.
On my 2017 my Coleman tstat is a model 9330 and that's what I inquired about to Micro-air and got the "sometime this fall" response. On my 2013 it was a different model but it still used a 2 wire proprietary network. I think there may be one or two other intervening models. I vaguely recall there might have been minor differences in the protocol between versions, but don't remember the details.
Point is, Micro-air may have their work cut out for them since I assume they are reverse engineering the Coleman units and may need to deal with more than one variant of the 2 wire network units.
