Wifi/ reception/ streaming

While I'm at home connected to my home wifi I'm still unable to stream video . I have very good signal strength. When I try Netflix the Netflix logo or a you tube logo shows up on the tv but never connects. Is that an issue I have to address with Samsung ? Or is it in my internal router?

Try rebooting you router, then reconnect the TV.

Does your wifi router stream well to other TVs in your home? This will help determine if the problem is in your coach or not.

Where is your home access point located? How far, and through how many walls does the signal need to travel? Connecting with a laptop/ipad in your coach, what are the results from Speedtest?

There are several possible issues.. one is to insure the TV has the proper pass-key to connect to your secured router (if using Wi-FI, Does not apply if hard wired) if your home router is not secured, Well hackers thank you.

Second.. I do not know about Samsung TV's but many Wi-Fi devices have an option for a "Metered Connection" in fact my Laptops, all 3 of 'em do this,, I set this flag when I connect to my Smart phone... It may limit streeming..

There are other possible issues too
Can you stream video to other devices.. Like your laptop?
Some routers the video stream may be... clogged.

I was able to connect tv to my hot spot with no problem but when connecting to Netflix the logo would just spin and time out. I solved this problem by completing all software updates on tv. All is working well now!

Just had the same thing with the S&B Samsung, no warning about updates, just Amazon would not load. Tried reboot, same thing, manually did the updates and it fixed the problem. I learned that not all updates are automatic.

There is also the issue of bandwidth. We now have fiberoptic internet at the S&B and wow! for the first time we can enjoy Netflix and Amazon streaming without a hitch. A company GVTC has laid fiberoptic cable to several cities in the Hill Country, very lucky. If you are connecting through a DSL modem or hotspot I doubt you will have enough bandwidth for streaming.

Roger, I am on DSL and only have the 10MB plan and I am able to stream fine. However I did have to update my old clunky router, which CenutryLink replaced at no charge. At first it wasn't working well with the TV's, but after rebooting the wifi on the TV's it worked fine.

Next step will be to update to a duel band router as the CenturyLink router is kind of cheap. I have found that routers have a lot to do with dropped and poor signals

That looks to be an awesome router, think I will order one today. I have found with all the new wifi technology, routers become outdated....quick.
Weekends when everyone in the neighborhood is streaming, those with the best router win.

What a coincidence. Ordered one of these last week. Amazon says it will be delivered today. Good to hear I "chose wisely"

I actually ordered it because of the parental controls it offers. (teenagers ya' know)

Been streaming to apple and smart TVs with a Verizon hot spot for nearly 4 years. 40-50 MGb speed with grandfathered unlimited plan. Looks now like I have to keep it under 100Gb!!
