Wind noise coming from entry door
2017 Insignia. Took in for oil change at the Cummins dealer and told them not to open door while in gear. Well I was watching them back up and a co worker ran up and opened door while in reverse. Since then I get a wind noise coming in. I tried adjusting wall plate several times and yup still have it. Others say slam the door. How hard can I possible slam the door. I feel if I slam it any harder it’s gonna fall off. Just drove a 1000 miles back from Florida and it was annoying. Any ideas??? Thanks.

The entry door latch mechanism has two degrees of engagement. A light closing will engage the latch in a manner that the door is held closed, but not tightly closed. Using a firmer force (I'm reluctant to call it 'slamming') will engage the second degree of engagement.
There's an easy check to see if the second degree of latch engagement has occurred. While inside the coach, after closing the door, push outward on the screen door. If the second degree of latch engagement has occurred, there will be no play in the screen door. It will be held firmly, compressing the weather stripping on the screen door into the door jam. If only the first level of latch engagement has occurred, you'll be able to easily move the screen door about 1/8" outward while the door remains latched closed.
My door makes a noticeably different sound when it's closed firmly enough to engage the second degree of engagement. Until the second degree of engagement has occurred, you'll almost certainly be subjected to very annoying wind noise.
There's a procedure to adjust the latch mechanism. Here's a .pdf that describes the adjustment: Door Manual.pdf
I've never done that, so, I have no idea how easy it is to adjust. Part of me thinks that I might regret messing with that adjustment.
Take care,
Stu

There is a wheel latch on the inside of the front of the door. That is the latch the pulls the door in when the parking brake is released. Check to see if the tapered latch was not pull out of adjustment when the door was pulled open before the parking brake was set.

I am getting some wind noise from my door that I definitely did not have on my 2017.
I have tried adjusting the door wheel latch.
I think my wind is coming from the rear side of the door. When my wife is driving if I pull hard on the door handle (on the back side of the door) the wind noise goes away. It is worse depending on what the wind is doing and coach speed.
This is on my list of Entegra issues.

Have you followed the instructions in this video from PTL regarding adjusting the Move-a-bolt? Maybe that's what you mean by the "wheel latch"?:
Otherwise give PTL a call, in my experience they are very willing and able to help out with these sorts of issues.

Noel, one of our old time members taught me a trick using self adhesive weather stripping in the area of the leak after Entegra tried 3 times to get the door adjusted. I still carry some in the MH.

Our '06 Monaco Dynasty had a door seal that was pressurized by a small air pump when the door was closed and the transmission put into drive or reverse. It immediately "deflated" when it was put into neutral. It, too, had the warning about not opening or closing the door while the coach was in gear, as the door seal could be damaged.
Just looking at the seal, there really was no way to know that it was capable of being pressurized. IF the Entegra's of today use that system to reduce air noise from the front door, it is possible that it could have been damaged. If NOT, you all now know a wee bit more about the mid-2000's Monaco's this is likely totally useless information.

I took mine to NIRVC in Lewisville for a leaky door and it came back worse. I had them look at it again and the solution now is slam it hard enough to rattle my teeth. Personally, I think that's going to cause long term problems and will see what kind of adjustments I can make on my own.

I have not adjusted move a bolt. Ted Cook helped me adjust the other adjustable wheel latch at the top of the door on the other side. I am going to try adjusting the move a bolt tighter one notch. I will do it before the next trip. I think it will help. Thanks for sharing the video. I appreciate the help.

I adjusted my move a bolt one notch to position 1. I feel like I should go tighter but moving past position 1 seems to just make the bolt move away from the coach. Loose.
I emailed PLT customer service. Maybe they have a way to go a little tighter.
I am going to try driving with the 1 notch adjust I made a see if that helps.

Does your coach have an entry door air lock?
Does your door open just a little after you start your engine or is it that way regardless? I don't know about your model but on the Aspire, Anthem, and Cornerstone there is a small piston that pushes against the entry door once the engine is started and airs up and that piston holds the door closed. It it is out of adjustment it can push the door away from the frame just a little and that could be your problem. There is a procedure to adjust it.
On my coach, it was way out of adjustment and pushed my door out enough that it opened a couple of times while driving. Since adjusting it I have had no issues. Hope this helps.

I have the same entry door lock. I believe that is adjusted properly. It looks like it is working properly. Ted Cook helped me adjust the air activated entry door piston.
I could get the wind noise reduced by pulling tight on the door handle when driving. So I thought the move a bolt was not tight enough. After I adjusted the move a bolt to position 1 (the tightest position possible) I still got a little play in the door when it is fully closed.
I added some washers to the screws that hold the move a bolt assembly. That pulled the bolt in tight towards the coach. That has helped tighten the door up and reduce the wind noise. I still think this is louder than my 17. Most importantly my DW is sure it is louder.
I am going to get Entegra to check this for me when I visit them in November.
