Although I have no experience with J-B Weld KwikWeld for this application, in other applications where I can tolerate a longer cure time, I've had better luck with the original J-B Weld. Here's a link to a comparison:
https://www.stickyaide.com/jb-kwik-vs-jb-weld/ that contains this statement:
Is JB Weld Stronger Than JB Kwik?
Compared to the original JB Weld, JB Kwik has a much faster curing time, which allows for quick repairs to be made. However, this fast curing time also means that JB Kwik is not as strong or heat-resistant as JB Weld. While JB Kwik does retain its adhesion after curing, it is not as durable as JB Weld, making it more suitable for lighter applications where strength is not a primary concern.
Take care,
