Window Noise

We’re getting tired of whistling and banging windows in a strong crosswind. Our primary, and maybe only, noisy window is the large one behind the TV. We never open that one when parked for obvious reasons. I decided I am going to clean the seal and glass where they contact and apply a bead of silicon adhesive. I won’t do it until we get home to make sure it has lots of time to cure.

Thanks for any constructive comments.

I certainly understand the frustration! The ones opposite that one over the sofa is also bad for us! I think most people would be surprised how much they vibrate and make noise going down the road. I’m surprised they don’t break constantly. I’ve slowed down just because I’m in fear of them breaking. Stupid design!

Ours over the couch have made noise but I’m hesitant to seal them because we do open them once in a while. When it first happened to us the CS response was so consider using duct tape to hold them down! We’re concerned about them sailing away from the coach, too!

These frameless windows are horrible. They leak air like a sieve even when stationary. It's a terrible design. A framed window would be a better option, but outside of Tiffin and perhaps high end Prevost's I don't think anyone uses them. The window behind my TV was rattling so bad like the OP. I screwed it shut. Problem solved

My window over the sofa was rattling. Mentioned that at my factory AIR and was told it is a common problem. The fix was to put new arms on the window. These new arms were closer together where they connect to the window but still allowed the window to open as far as it always has. They only fixed the forward most window as that one gets the brunt of the wind, and the rattling stopped. On this last trip the next one back has started to rattle..but only when there is a strong crosswind. Uggg..

Any pictures of how you screwed it shut? We never open our windows and thinking of doing the same but would love to see what others have done.

Yes, I drilled a small hole through the sill straight down into the frame. Problem solved

Did you do this on the inside of the coach or outside of the coach?

Inside. I removed the screen, pulled the window in as tight as possible and then set the screw through the sill handle into the frame pocket

I don’t understand how the big window by driver rattles. I can’t find anything loose.
