Winegard not finding satellites
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Winegard:
searching until the cows come home. can not find signal.
SO far I have:
replaced the RG6
Calibrated EL motor
checked the install for the proper (LG) mount.
Booted the unit several times.
Now, I get a (motor stall) alert when it tries to stow.
I had to stow manually.
Did I mention how much I hate winegard?

The only time I have trouble with my Winegard is when there's a tree in the way of the satellite. Sometimes moving forward 6-12 feet does the trick. If there are thick clouds, sometimes it takes a little longer to find the sats.
But what do you have? The Travler system mounted on the roof? Or a portable?

Hmm. Well, I would suggest a call to Winegard support than. They've helped me in the past when I had a box go bad, and another time when that short coax up on the dish went bad. I thought they were very helpful and appreciated getting a new box for free. They walked me through some tests and then recommended a fix.
