Winegard Rayzer E3 Error

Our 3 month old 2016 Anthem started giving E3 error. Looks like a motor issue. I see Newmar has had lots of issues with that. I suppose it must be for us as well? You guys seeing this and did you have to replace the unit?

I had the same code. Dealer replaced the unit.

I had the same E3 code. I followed the reset procedure (depress the search and counter clockwise buttons simultaneously) and it came back. I emailed help@winegard.com and they came back asking me to depress the clockwise or counter clockwise buttons to see if a code came up. The code was H5. With that info the help desk determined that the antenna needs to be replaced. They ask for proof of purchase. They wanted a copy of the bill of sale for the coach. NOT! I asked Joyce at Summerfest how to send Winegard proof of purchase, she replied that CS would send all that Winegard needed, which they did. I now have a new antenna on the way. I had to give Winegard a credit card # to make sure I send the old one back to them. They told me it was easy to replace by simply removing three screws that hold the antenna to the feet anchored to the roof and the coaxial cable. They will provide prepaid UPS label for return freight. Since I carry a 15.5 foot teliscoping ladder I think I can reach it without getting on the roof.

Just performed the same test on mine,😡 mine needs replacing. Jeremy is getting me one on the way.

We have the same code . Our dealer has a replacement ordered but they said winegard has discontinued this antena and using one without a motor. Is this correct? I like the razor when it works

Our Rayzor replacement arrived today. No mention when I talked to Winegard for shipping info they were sending anything other than direct replacement.
Guess I will see tomorrow what's in the box.

We've got the E3 & H5 codes and Entegra CS contacted Winegard with in service info but been waiting a week and no call from Winegard yet !

I got the replacement antenna two days ago and it was an exact replacement. I used my telescoping ladder and did not need to get on the roof. I removed the three feet on the new antenna and then removed the three nuts holding the old antenna on the roof, then unscrewed the coaxial cable, which was not tight, then attached the coaxial cable to the new antenna and aligned it with the old feet and installed the nuts. The old feet stayed on the roof so there was no need to reseal them. That cured the problem!

Got my replaced at Bishes RV in Idaho Falls today. Great service and friendly people. I got it Thursday and it appears to be the same thing. Seems to work but still gives an E3 message intermittently while searching. Anyone know anything about that?
