Winterizing 2022 Anthem - Whirlpool icemaker issue

I winterized my 2022 Anthem 44r on Friday. I blew out the lines first and then pumped pink into them, used about 7 gallons total. Everything went well except for the icemaker. I have a Whirlpool model wrqa59cnkz (4 doors with icemaker only - no water in door). I read online that this model does NOT have a built in filter, so I figure it must be inline someplace.

I never got any pink fluid to flow to the icemaker and can't find an inline icemaker filter. I found where the water feeds to the icemaker in the wet bay, the valve is on, but no filter anyplace. I checked under the sink and also in the side cabinets by the refrigerator. I also checked in the storage bays below the fridge, nothing.

I can't imagine that they put it behind the fridge which would require the fridge to be pulled to change or bypass. Maybe it doesn't have a filter at all. If it doesn't I still need to get the pink antifreeze to the icemaker. I waited for over an hour to give it a chance to cycle. If the connection to the fridge were accessible I would just disconnect it and flush.

Thoughts? I will reach out to Entegra tomorrow.

I was provided a PEX bypass line (about 6" in length) to bypass that filter. Also, be advised, a functioning filter may, very well, filter out the "pink" from the fluid.

Take care,

That is something I never thought about on the Pandemic era coaches when they were doing everything to get refrigerator for coaches. Many were not refrigerators that were used in RV's before and probably don't have any instruction for winterizing. It might not hurt to go on the manufactures website for that model and see if anything can be found. There has got to be instruction for that model that sold for summer cabin use that get winterized.

I would check at the bottom of the fridge for a filter. May have to remove the plastic cover. If you have anti-freeze in the fresh tank, then leave on the water pump and turn on the ice maker. Alot of times, there is a way to manually cycle the ice maker. Would have to see which ice maker is installed to tell you how to do that. It might be worthwhile to hire a mobile tech or take it to NIRVC to get the proper procedure for winterizing.
