X coach HZ tire cost

Anyone know what the FMCA discount price for this tire is or where in the Midwest the best price/service would be?

Thanks in advance.

You obviously need to be a member of FMCA to get their prices and their tire program is fully described on the FMCA website. When I last dealt with tires, any Michelin dealer, lets say, could be your dealer and handle the transaction. The prices were out of their control. They got the tires, installed them, balanced and it was at the designated FMCA price.

My dealer at the time took me aside and said "you are getting the tires at a lower price than I can buy them for my shop"

Things may have changed but that is how it was a few years ago.

Thanks Gary,
I have let my FMCA membership laps and they do not provide pricing unless I renew.
Thus far, in my years RVing, I have always been able to beat the FMCA pricing just negotiating with a dealer but, I have always had that price available to reference. Without it, I am guessing...

Thanks again.

It has been interesting so far.

Michelin is NOT making this tire size, in anything currently and has no production date.
Michelin says the ONLY tire they make an longer in this size is the X Coach Z and nothing else.

I cannot get information on what the change is from the X Coach HZ and X Coach Z other than it is not offered any longer.
There is an X Coach LZ also but I think that is the HZ just named incorrectly on some web sites, not sure.

Best price I have found for the X Coach Z is Here: https://www.prioritytire.com/micheli...l-season-tire/

The X Coach HL or HZ? is available on E bay here for $575 but may be up to 3 years old: https://www.ebay.com/itm/26532384810...RoCQh8QAvD_BwE

My dealer in town says they cannot get any Michelin, Continental or BFG but can get Toyo.
Simple Tire has the X Coach Z for $988 (as I recall) but will only guarantee it is not older than 3 years.

Frustrating...

What size are you looking for?
You are right. You used to be able to check FMCA pricing online without entering membership info.

Vito,
295-80R22.5
I have the pricing sent via PM by a member so I am good there. Now finding the tire on the other hand using even the FMCA program is not so easy.

I went through this 5 years ago when I installed my current set of tires. Seems I am off cycle with production.

Anyone with the X Coach Z tire able to look at it and see where it is made? My current ZXA2 Energy are made in Italy.

The Michelin Rep (Richard) would not give me much info and would not say where the tires were made, or when they may make more.

Is there a point at which the frustration with Michelin might prompt you to consider another brand?

Absolutely,
Been looking at a lot of tires.

Can't find anything local but Toyo and I am not putting those on my steers again, been there, done that without success.

Goodrich and Continental have been strong consideration also. Nothing local and not enough different in price, reviews, or performance to move the peg anyway.

I found new stock X Coach Z tires this morning locally. Date is late 2021 so a few months older than I wish but it will be OK.

Not sure what the exact tire price is cause it is an out the door figure but back figuring it appears to be about $850 before the extra components of balance and install ($75.00 ea), sales tax ($80.00) FET ($45.00)
out the door $1050 ea.

Good news is, it is at my normal service location. They just needed to work to get them.

Different tire.

From your link for Priortire the mpn # is 53962 When doing the search on FMCA with the 53962 number

On the tire you have listed 31078 FMCA has today at $890.58 Did they go down on price?

FMCA shows MICHELIN 295/80R22.5 XCZ 154/150MVG Tread "XCZ Coach" $822.05

I’ve had Yokohama 11R 22.5’s for the past 6 years, with no complaints. Their 295’s seem to be priced around $620.

Which Toyo’s were you unsatisfied with? I’ve heard good things about the 177’s. I have nothing against Michelin, we put them on the Jeep a couple of years ago since Costco had a deal on them. Just don’t see them being worth the extra $300-400/ea, and as you’ve mentioned, they only offer one product that is suitable for an RV. Seems odd.

31078 was the E bay tire at $575 They have a BUNCH of them. The issue there is, Michelin calls it an all purpose (Line Haul and Regional) but, the indicator on the specification page shows regional only. I suspect that is why they stopped production on it. Some sort of "issue".

The 53962 (X Coach Z) link for best price I found was Priority tire at $827.99 You have to order 4 to get that price from Priority.

This tire is shown as all purpose, all position and the spec reflects that on the Michelin document page.

The 53962 is the one that sourced locally finally today for the $850 ish number.
