Xcite radio Media

Had been having trouble connecting my IPOD to the infotainment system. Ultimately through troubleshooting with Riverpark we determined that the USB cable connecting the dash with the head unit was faulty. Everything worked fine if I plugged the IPOD Directly into the head unit above driver seat. In the middle of all this I discovered that I could load all my music directly onto the head unit and access it via the Media ICON on the infotainment screen. No more plugging/unplugging and I believe the sound is much better. I have full functionality same as if IPOD was plugged in. Just thought I would mention it here. Seems like a much better method to me.

How much storage space did you find you had? I had no idea you could upload any music...

Hey Gary. I don't know the space size but I loaded 133 songs from my IPOD. You transfer to a laptop then to a USB. Plug USB into head unit. Then access media center and copy and paste.

Could have loaded more but that's all I had on my IPOD.

8 Gigs is a lot of space and a lot of songs.

I have used Bluetooth directly from my phone but never tried to upload.

Thanks

I don 't own an Entegra, but I found this board searching for xcite radio / Rand McNally infotainment system. For some reason, my unit thinks it is 24 degrees below zero here in Ohio. Therefore, the "Caution Icy Roads" warning message is beeping almost constantly.
1. I have ensured i have it set to Farenheight.
2. I have tried factory resore/reset at least twice.
3. I have tried going to warning settings and turning off all warnings (e.g. speed warning, etc) which I really don't want to do, but it did not work anyway. No way to turn off the Icy Roads warning that I have found.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have found Riverpark tech support to be very helpful. Reach them at (800) 442-7717.
