Xite Failure
The last few days have been quite the challenge.
The Infotainment System and cameras went blank on the dash of our 21 Anthem. Went through the troubleshooting process over a couple of days with River Park. Finally was convinced to remove the unit and send in for evaluation. Not a simple task but way more worried about reinstalling.
Sent overnight UPS to River Park on Wednesday. They received on Thursday and bench tested only to determine it was dead. Only option is to replace the XSG3NA with the new and improved XSG4NA. The cost of the new unit is $1,330 less a $50 core credit for the old unit. River Park shipped overnight yesterday and I received and installed this morning. It is pretty much plug and play if the have the old unit to take one of the connection off the old unit and install on the new one.
Rob at River Park was amazing to work with. He is the tech that actually bench tested the old unit. Also provided great tech support during the process. I have read of others experience with the Xite unit and there is probably a reason that Entegra stopped using them a few years ago. Our displays are still working for now as there is no replacement for those if they fail.
Only had to make one 4.5 hour drive without the cameras. That was the hardest part because you can't see the toad while driving down the interstate.
We are back up and running with our next leg on this swing through Texas coming on Sunday. The navigation in the new unit appears to be more advanced than the old RM navigation. We will find out soon enough. Be happy to respond to any questions and help where I can. Safe travels!
