Yosemite campgrounds or closest campgrounds

Does anybody have any suggestions for visiting Yosemite with our 42 foot motorhome?

GWTW, All Stays shows Yosemite RV Resort in Coarsegold, CA.
Did get 4/5 stars with as many $ signs to match.
I like the direction you would enter the park from so if anyone has stayed there, I would be interested. I am sure there are plenty of thoughts on other options as well. Jealous of your trip.

Try High Sierra RV campground in Oakhurst if coming in from the south. Drive your towed to Yosemite for the day. There are State campgrounds around Bass Lake just north of Oakhurst also.

That's what I was thinking. I think people confuse Yellowstone and Yosemite for some reason.

I can't offer any suggestions but I'll be following this thread as we potentially may be going out there next year.

Entegra coach sizes will pretty much prohibit from visiting Yosemite, which is in CA, expensive fuel and pretty far from Grizzly RV Park at Yellowstone, Montana

We liked Mono Vista in Lee Vinning, CA. It's on 395, then you take 120 into the park, with your toad. 120 is worth the ride itself.

Fyi, if you are also going to Napa Valley, there is a city park in downtown Napa 2 blocks off main street. Napa Valley Expo RV park. If you to go pull in thru the exit off of Silverado Trail. The entrance is very tight from a power pole. I will tell you that a month is too long. Also Paso Robles is another good wine stop

I just replied to your other similar thread.

I assume you are coming from WI, or somewhere to the east.

If that is correct, tunnels won’t be an issue.

Take 80 through Reno and then south. Or, take 10 or 40 west to Bakersfield and then 99 north.

NOPE. There is one in Yosemite on the way into the Yosemite Valley from the south. There are a lot of tight corners for 40 footers and some close rock walls. Very few places to get off the road once you're in the Park.

You completely misunderstood what I meant.. I don’t recommend entering YNP from any direction with a large RV, thus you will not encounter any tunnels if you don’t enter the park.

If you do, the tunnels are passable as 45’ tour busses make the journey daily.

Again, our size of MH isn’t ideal for YNP.
