Your best EC Mod for 2021
Thought it might be worthwhile to see what your BEST modification for your Entegra Coach was for 2021.
Since we have Classics(thanks Chuck!) and “Newer” it will help to state what year coach your modification was performed on.
So, for me;
2014 Aspire.
Micro Air Thermostat

Mine was too simple but proving to be worthwhile. Mine was to purchase a new Samsung S21 phone that would mirror to the the overhead TV in the 21 coach with the push of one button. Now, always up to date WAZE runs on the overhead TV very simple, with Rand McNally as the backup.

Home master reverse osmosis system for drinking water. That and two coats ceramic on the paint, PPF on the cap.

‘17 Insignia 44W
1st on the list would be Rob’s eRVin Raspberry Pie to be able to control lights and Aqua-Hot from web/cell phone. I integrated this with a HOOBS Raspberry Pie to work with HomeKit and now I have automations set up so that if Zone 1 gets below “X” temp, the Aqua-Hot Burner (Propane for us) turns on. Above “X” temp, Aqua-Hot burner turns off. This has substantially reduced amount of propane we consume being full timers. I now have about the same, if not more control then some of the Vega Touch offerings.
2nd on the list would be the Micro-Air thermostat as already described above.

Is there a particular model to replace the "AirXcel" thermostat? I googled the Micro Air and there are a bunch of them. I have attached a picture of my current thermostat. I have the exact same coach you do, a 19 Aspire 44B.
Also, how hard is it to install? Is it DIY or should a professional be hired?

2020 Anthem — DrainMaster electric dump valves for black and grey tanks with switches in the wet bay and the mid-bath along with macerator switch in the mid-bath. No more going outside to dump tanks!

Easy DIY. Click on “which model do I need” and follow promos.

Did you install the remote switches for the tanks and Macerator or did you have someone do it? Love to do this mod, but haven’t gone they the logistics of what’s needed.

Cellular Booster
Installed Sure Call Fusion 4 Home version which has improved my cellular connection by 3 bars. It has a 70 plus dB gain Omni direction antenna. It works beyond my expectations and best of all it is automatic requiring no set-up when i travel.

Can you detail how you installed this? I for one would love more details

Bruce:
There is an old post titled “Looking for a GOOD cellular Booster” dated 11/05/21. In that post there is a link http://www.r tech mag.com/tech/86cellbooster.pop which was posted by Cruzers. I followed the way he ran the cable and where he mounted the antenna. However,I did not drill holes in the roof for the clips holding the cable to the roof. I used self leveling black adhesive caulk with cable clips with adhesive backing. Also I did not use winegard cable cover in the front which had about 8 screws which was over kill for vertical cable entry point. I used a clam shell cover (type typically used on boats) which only required 3 screws. I also covered the cable with exterior wire wrap and the self leveling black caulk. I used Excel adhesive clear caulk to seal all screws holding the antenna and on the clam shell cover. It is not a hard install but it does take some time if you want to do a neat professional looking job. Also you should carefully consider where you drill the hole and the size of the hole for the cable entry in the front cap. Hope this helps.

I bought the parts but had NIRVC Atlanta do the install.
Not really difficult to do. The DrainMaster valves are available configured with two sets of switches. Run the wires up to mid-bath through the chase above the AquaHot. Just pull out some of the spray foam and punch a rod or dowel through the rest to get up to the floor of the sink cabinet from there run the wires to the upper cabinet. Same with macerator wires that go to a standard rocker switch.
The 12v power wires for both valves are already in the wet bay tucked back in there.
