Zep on the roof of an Entegra?

Years ago I waxed my fiberglass roof to prevent streaking, A lot of work, then I learned of using Mop & Glow which worked great and I used it for years with no more streaking.

Now I am hearing of Zep High Traffics Floor Polish doing even a better job than Mop & Glow. Has anyone here tried it yet?

Here's a link to a few threads on this. It may not be Entegras but a FG roof is a FG roof

Cliff, I agree and was reading those posts last night. I was just sharing what had worked for me in the past with some of the Entegra owners wondering if they were aware of sealing their roofs and how easy and effective it is.

When I brought up the success I had had with Enternabond tape, I was surprised how many Entegra owners were not aware of it. Just trying to share ideas and get feedback on a slow day on the forum.

Sounds like an excellent idea. Another project to add to the list. Thanks Chuck.

You are welcome. When my previous MH hit the 2 year old mark I started getting white chalking down the sides of the MH. Wax lasted for about 3 months, but the Mop & Glow lasted an entire season. I plan on applying the ZEP while the Entegra is still new before it starts oxidizing. Hopefully it will save a lot of work later on. The ZEP and Eternabond will be a roof day project so I should not have to worry about the roof for a long time.

Hi Tom. Just clean the sealant and enough on both sides where the tape will stick, with lacquer thinner then apply the eternabond right over it. The Eternabond will protect the sealant for the life of the coach.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry we missed you on or last trip to LD, but we didn't stick around

Chuck, report back how the Zep works. I did Mop and Glo on my previous coach and it worked OK but I have pondered trying the Zep on my Allure.

How many coats do you plan to apply?

Heck, for $16. for a gallon I have got to try it. From what everyone that has used has said.. it was better than Mop & Glow, so I figure I have nothing to loose.

I'll use the same microfiber pad mop that I used with the M&G and do 2 coats the first time drying 30 minutes between coats. If I do it once a year there after, I'll be happy. If it last longer, that's even better. I hate white streaks!
