Zone 1 A/C quit working

Front a/c quit working, rear a/c still working. Getting E 7 error message lost power. Found circuit breaker was tripped and would not reset, replaced it and checked fuse in bathroom with thermostat it was good, still no a/c and still getting the E 7 error message not sure where to look now. Hoping a/c unit isn’t dead but checking if anybody has any ideas on what’s going on with the a/c. A/C unit and thermostat are both Dometic. Thanks in advance for any info.

Where is the E7 error code showing? A 2011 coach, not many of them were made and most don't have experience with the workings. The AC if it continues to trip circuit breakers, possible a locked up compressor.

Error message is on the thermostat. New circuit breaker isn’t tripping just getting error message on thermostat. Plugged into 50 amp service.

Does the fan start? These units are not great. I had one fail 3 months after taking delivery of my 21. They are on backorder too.

Have you tried to reset the computer by resetting the salesman switch?

I have had AC (heatpump) units quit on me twice, a dometic and a coleman. You can spend a lot of money when it could be taken care of by replacing a $30 capacitor. The first one was a start capacitor and the last one I repaired also burned the wire and the top of the compressor relay, but it was caused by the bad start capacitor. The first one I replaced the start capacitor. The second I installed a new control box that had the burnt wire for about $165. The start capacitor was about $30, but I installed a softstart that does not need the start capacitor.

Check the start capacitor in the AC unit on the roof. Open the breaker to the AC unit and check to ensure the line is not energized. Use a multi meter, disconnect the capacitor and measure the microfarads. Visually check all the wiring including inside the compressor control boxes. Beware off any discoloration on the inside of the AC cover or the electrical control boxes that would indicate an electrical arc.
