To me, it would appear that the sensor may be at fault as typically, the floor should be a little lower than the room temp. Do you have a pyro meter to check the actual floor temp? With the settings you have, I can't see why the floor is reading 10 degrees hotter unless your basement heat is really hot.

When you say "set out at 1/4 scale", is that to the right or left. You may have the basement heat set high so that could account to why zone 2 is showing higher temps.

I'll go and check to see where the 1/4 scale is on my so we can approximate the basement temp setting.

Regarding basement heat, don't forget that the Aquahot unit itself is putting out a pretty good amount of radiant heat into the basement area just by running even if it is only the electric section of the hot water system. As pointed out in an earlier post on this thread, you probably don't need to turn on the basement system unless the temps are going to the lower 20s depending on what you are storing down there.

I talked to Jacob at CS. He said the thermistor for Zone 2 is near the floor close to the fireplace so is getting odd readings. As someone else on the forum suggested he said to run Zone 2 setting to 80-85 degrees and the floor should get warm. We kinda like the idea of warmer floors but I don't think our dogs would who enjoy stretching out on non-warm tile.

I agree, the basement heat is likely too high and also skewing the control. I'll be interested what yours is set at scale-wise.

That's what my basement thermostat looks like also. The temp scale is not tied to the slide. Mine is set about 1/4 up from the left. It was halfway, since I lowered it Zone 2 temp has gone down.

If it were me I'd put a thermometer in the basement, check it occasionally and adjust the thermostat as needed. No need to heat the basement to 80 degrees. By using a thermometer you can figure out what thermostat setting will give you 40-45 degrees in the basement, which should be plenty warm. You may find that enough heat escapes from the Aquahot and the coach interior that you can turn the basement thermostat off altogether unless the outside temperature gets near zero. Also, using the basement heat may be complicating your zone 1,2,3 settings in the coach.

The floor will not have a uniform temperature...warmer near the coils and warmer in the salon, somewhat cooler in BR as that's the end of the loop.

I realize the floor will. Of have a uniform heat, I think my basement temp is too high and interfering with floor heat. The next 2 weeks we will have lows in the teens so I want to make sure I maximize comfort without sacrificing protection.

If this helps Vance, Years ago I was able to find a Cobra indoor/outdoor thermometer that had 3 outdoor zone sensors. One is in the water bay so we can check the temps without going outside. Another one is inside the refrig that is constantly monitored while traveling (we have a NOcold) This is a similar unit but I do not know if Oregon Scientific has a multi zone unit or not. The Cobra is not made anymore. Oregon Scientific RMR382A-BK Wireless Indoor and Outdoor Thermometer with Atomic Clock - Black

We were just at the Entegra Factory the past couple of weeks. Here is what they found with our Aqua-hot system. 1. There was a large air bubble in the lines. They got that worked out, added about 2 gallons of fluid to the system and it works much better.
2. Our basement thermostat was not working. The top switch (which turns the basement heat off/on) was stuck in the off position and would not turn on. The switch was replaced and it works much better.
3. Here is how Entegra told us to set the different zones. Set Zone two 5 to 10 degrees higher than the rest of your coach. As this zone controls the infloor heat, the infloor heat would not turn on if the room temp is higher. We set zone two to 71 to 75 degrees and zones one and three to 65 degrees.
4. We set our basement heat to very low when we are down in FL. While we were in IN, we set it to high and it kept us much warmer.

My system registers exactly the same as txbart has described. My basement thermostat is set all the way to the right as per direction from "PJ" in CS. I also experience much higher temps in zone 2 than thermostat is set for. I'm now suspecting that high basement setting may be influencing the regulating of zone 2 temp. Aqua hot system was on for more than 24 hours before it finally began bringing the zone temps up to the selected settings. Outside temps are currently about 27 degrees, and interior has been very warm all day.
