That's what I thought...nice to know someone is testing all this input and verifying.

Wish I wasn't in the cold and testing! And the Gmen lost to those cowboys!

You forgot the capital "C" on Cowboys...I'm going to assume that was a typo and not a discouraging and inappropriate slight

"Left" being aircraft left. As you look at it, looking toward the back of the coach, the switch goes to the right. Or at least mine does. :-)

My confidence is draining. Another answer exactly opposite of the previous. Depends on perspective...now which is right...no offense to anyone.
If only it said in the operator's manual...but alas, no mention of it in the manual!!!!

I chose right and my basement temp is 52-56 degrees with outside air as low as 18. I can occasionally hear a small fan running when I open a basement door.

If we're both talking about the switch on top of the thermostat one of us have a coach wired backward. But of they both work, who cares?
My thermostat, lever on the bottom, is set just off the stop to the left (looking at it).
We probably shouldn't be outside in our skivvies anytime, especially not at 25 degrees!

I am going to assume all years and models have the same type of basement heat switch. Ours is a 2013 Anthem. Per our service tech at the factory, the top switch turns the basement heat on and off, the bottom switch adjusts the temp. Our switch is located on the passenger side in the bay with the freezer. When you look at the switch, you need to push it left to turn the system on. We had a broken switch so it was stuck in the off position. The switch was changed out and now we can move it left to turn the system on. The bottom lever controls the temperature. All the way to the left is low, all the way to the right is high. Adjust according to what you keep in your bins and how warm you want your floors to be. In very cold weather (IN in the teens, TX this week with high 20's and low teens) we turn it all the way right to set it on high. Our floors stay much warmer and the upstairs heat comes on less often. It also keeps our soda, bottled water, wine, beer and etc from freezing. When we are home in Florida and the weather is warmer, we turn it down. If it doesn't seem like your basement heat is working, 1st check the upper switch to make sure you can turn your system on. If you are still not getting heat, check the fluid level in your Agua Hot. That is the one problem the factory missed. Our system was over 2 gallons low. (The system shut itself totally off on a very cold night. We woke up to 40 degrees inside and no hot water). We called customer service and they sent us to RV Specialists who filled up the Aqua Hot for us and gave us a gallon of fluid to take with. That was 6 days ago, tonight I had to add another 1/2 gallon of fluid. I am starting to think we have a leak, but am not seeing any puddles under the coach or fluid around the registers in the coach. Has anyone had problems with leaks? Any suggestions on where to look for a leak?

Basement Thermostat.....white.....this is an old mercury switch type thermostat.
Switch on top move left to turn on, move right to turn off. This switch is hard to move, you'll feel a sharp click. Doesn't move very far.
Lever on the bottom left lowers set temp, move right to increase set temp.

You may not have a leak. I've gone through at least a gallon/year with my Aqua Hot. The first couple of years I had it, I'd have the system checked for leaks by techs and they never found any. I got tired of paying $100/hr with no fix. For the last several years I carry a one gallon container of the fluid that I have a 5 gallon bucket of at home, and add it as necessary. I just emptied my home bucket so it's time for a new one. It's cheaper in the long run.
