Awning issues

The awning on our 2019 View does not roll up neatly when retracted. It initially lays flat against the roller but at about the half way point it starts to develop a wave at each end. It hasn't created too much of a bunch so that the shield can't cover it when full retracted, but it concerns me. It appears that the awning fabric is not aligned closely enough at the fabric mounting points on the roller, shield and RV mounting rail.

Anyone tried to adjust their awning fabric. I replaced the shorter slide covers on my first class C RV without too much problem, but this awning is about 19' long and is difficult to move. The mounting on the roller appears to be in two slots while on the RV end there are only one slot for the shield and RV rail, so I imagine that's the easiest place to try to adjust the fabric position.

Any thoughts?

If it has a screw in each end up at the upper rail, remove and slide it.....might take a liberal amount of spray silicone to help slide......I used a Camco DeFlapper as a handle to grip the fabric.....

The Carefree awnings are just not very good. I think the problem is that the awning fabric is too stretchy, particularly after a good rain, and that allows it to "ripple" as it retracts. Ours does it a little bit at the aft end, too. Until it creates a show stopping problem, I'm leaving it alone (don't go looking for trouble).

Awning not at show stopper quality yet, but getting there. As well as the ripples at each end, the fabric appears to not roll up evenly on the roller with the fabric in the middle lagging. This causes extra bunching as it gets covered by the shield. When extending, I sometimes have to shake the arms to get it loose enough to deploy.

Will add this to my list of complaints to Carefree this morning.
