Calibration of the Auto Brake Sensor

When we picked up our new Sprinter-based Entegra, the windshield had a crack. We took it home after ensuring the dealer would pay for the replacement, which they did. But Safelite is saying that I MUST have the sensor re-calibrated after any windshield replacement. Has anyone had this done? Any idea of the typical expense or effort?

No experience with the 2019+ chassis with all it's proprietary MB gadgets.
But since you mention it, I have the 2017, and I have read about having to get my Mobil-Eye (3rd party add on by Winnebago, before they started using the VS30 loaded chassis) replaced accurately somehow, if my windshield ever gets totalled. It reads road signs, warns of collisions with various obstacles while in motion, and warns of lane position issues (drifting over the lines). It's pretty basic, and doesn't acuate braking or other corrective action, just gives audible/visual warnings.
Now you've got me wondering, too?

Regarding side window tinting, I just swing the visor around to give me some relief. Never considered tinting.

btw, Kerrville is a nice break/stop for fuel and to stretch the legs. We've stopped there every time we transit Texas on I-10. Usually fuel at the Shell, just off the interstate next to the McDonald's.

Glass company here in Pensacola advertises they can reset sensors when replacing windshield. Otherwise probably a Sprinter qualified Mercedes shop to reset or program sensor.
