True enough, but there's also the option of installing a second chassis battery in the engine compartment. That helps relieve the worry of parasitic draw for me.

When you plug it back in, be sure to give the computers time to boot up. Starting the engine too quickly will produce a false check engine light.

I am on my second AZ battery, even with keeping it unplugged when not in use.

If you have to store it, definitely use the disconnect under the dash. Mine sits in the driveway so I can use a tender on it year round. When I'm at a campsite, with power, it's also on a tender. Otherwise, I lay a briefcase solar panel on the windshield and keep it maintained with a controller.
My 2019 is on it's original factory battery. These will last for years with the proper maintenance.

Agree 1000%
I recently replaced 10 YO chassis battys that still started OK but tested at 50% of CCA. They have been on quality, multibstage maintainer since I owned it and plugged in with PO. Treat battys right and they will stand up very well... mistreat them and they die an early death.

Chassis Battery Issue Solved.

2019D. As far as I am concerned, I have solved W's silly battery problem issue. Did tons of research and I settled on the Optimate 5. Looked at others, but the reviews were best on it, and it had the number of amps I was looking for. Undo the hood are two posts a red positive and a brass negative. Attached the clips, used a strong short extension cord plugged into the 110 outlet in the fwd passenger side compartment, and that was it. Lights were as explained in the manual, left it over night, next morning chassis battery was 100%. While stored, it Can be left plugged in forever without over charging. See photos.

Amen to that sir. Had 6 12 V house batteries last almost 8 years in my last Newmar that I drove for 15 years. Same goes for tires, treat em right and they will do you well.

Yes sir, you've solved it. That's a really nice maintainer.

Did you give any thought to mounting it permanently?
