Electrical issue

Looks like I get to learn some more about my new Tiffin Wayfarer. I was installing the new Battle Born batteries when I momentarily touched the positive lug with the wench I was using to tighten the negative lug on the second battery.
which apparently caused something to shut down the power to the coach. Basically, both batteries read 13.3V so they have a charge (the guys at BB indicated that the bats were not damaged). No power to the coach even the solar controller is blank. I checked all the breakers none tripped. when I start the motor everything comes on even the controller shows 13.3 and bats 90%. Turn the motor off, nothing. Plugged into house power, back on. I will pull out the 10 fuses and check them this morning. Other than that I hope someone can help out with advice. This is my first MH so I don't know what might be obvious to check. Not sure if the inverter plays a role or not.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Do you have the large fuse mounted near the batteries that is blown?
Seen in the top right of this picture, circled in white (not the arrow indicators);

Follow the lead frm the house battery + cable. It should go to a breaker about a foot away from the battery.

They have small levers that pop out a bit. Hard to see if tripped.

Thanks. there are Buss 200/250A fuses behind the batteries, black plastic in the center with copper lead/bars coming out of either side. Looks like there is a button in the center. Are these breakers or fuses that need to be replaced?

I noticed when I put a volt meter pin on the lug that had a couple of positive cables attached that were labeled bat to inverter, bat to gen the voltage was .91 is that okay or tells me something?

Again, thanks.

They are fuses. Should see 12 volts on every post with black probe to ground.

If you find a bad one, loosen the nuts holding the cables on and you may be able to slip fuse out from under the cables.

They may look like this.

Take the negetive cable off first.

Found one of the 250A 32V fuses was blown. Should have it back together tomorrow, had to order the fuse from NAPA, they'll have tomorrow a.m.

Again, thanks for the help with my continued MH learning experience!

I have blown this fuse several times. No idea why (no known short like the OP). What does it protect?
The second time I still didn't know why but I recognized the symptoms so easier to fix.
Anyone know what this fuse protects? ie, any time a battery cable gets "shorted". That didn't happen either time mine got blown.

Where did you find the one that has slots. The original on my Open Road and the replacement from NAPA just had holes (requiring removal of the cables)
Thanks

There are 2 fuses.

If your blowing the inverter fuse, it may be due to a heavy load on the inverter, although the inverter should shut down before that happens.

The second fuse may be for the boost start circuit, if equipped. When the chassis batteries are very low and you use the boost, to assist starting the engine, you may be overloading that circuit.

Try to narrow down the circumstances when the fuse blows. That will help in troubleshooting its cause.
