Emission Campaign

Received a bulky letter from a legal firm about a class action lawsuit and emission modification campaign conducted by MB for BlueTek.

Apparently, MB has run afoul of the EPA, the DOJ, and California Clean Air Board.

The sender of the message was a legal firm in Seattle, WA who is administering a class action lawsuit. One consequence of this action is an extension of the emission warranty for the MB BlueTec vehicles.

Yep, we got the same letter although we sold the vehicle six years ago.

I scheduled mybfix for Tuesday April 6,2021

I didn't opt out so I scheduled the fix. My letter says after the fix, to submit for a $3,500 settlement afterwards.

Here in NJ, private sprinters do not need inspections either.

I received the package regarding the recall and the reward, also. Called local Freightliner/Sprinter dealer. They have the parts and scheduled the repair. Will file for reward after recall finished.
