limp mode

We just made our first trip in our 2006 View and every thing worked well. My question is about the "turbo" and the "limp" mode mentioned in some threads. Our View has about 35,000 miles on it now. Should I be worried that it is about to break or confident that at this mileage most problems have been worked out. Is there a real turbo problem?

The only problems on this first outing was a sewer odor in the bathroom that I think a new toilet seal will fix. And a Sirius radio that continues to loose its signal, probably because the antenna is in the wrong place. Oh and two lost hub caps.

Thanks for any information you can offer.

The turbo resonator seems to be the weak spot in the 5 cylinder Sprinters...many have changed out their resonator with this:

Amazon.com: Dorman 904-303 Turbo Sound and Vibration Dampener: Automotive

I have not read about any of these failing to date...
