I get about the same, 16-17 but on secondary highways going 50 mph I've seen as high as 22 mpg. I'm going by what the scan gauge II is telling me. These things are great on fuel. Towing my 6x12 utility trailer with my 1600lb side x side there is hardly any difference.

Yes, it really is amazing-and yes, I have gotten in the low 20's a few times.
Wind & a heavy foot will bring the average down. We roll on 2 lane roads (55mph speed limit) mostly, Scenic byways are our favs. 62 mph is the sweet zone for my rig- I drive 70 or so when I have to, & its fine-but it brings the economy down. The little coach really performs on tight, curvy roads, uphill or downhill-really fun to drive.

We just got back to Michigan, tracking mpg from Denali to home, towing a Honda CR-V all but about 125 miles. Our average overall was 13.9 mpg. The last 650 miles or so, rolling on the interstate at 63-65 mph, varied from 15-15.5 mpg. The 125 miles not towing were on the Top of the World Hwy, where the View got 15.9mpg. I am more than pleased.

Fuel mileage for Navion Sprinter 3.0 Diesel
We just finished a 6200 mile trip west to California and then across the northern states to South Dakota and then home to Texas.
We averages 16.4 mpg for the entire trip driving 64/66 mph. We pushed it once on a divided highway at 70 mph and the economy dropped to 14.8 mpg.

I have a 2011 View 24K on a 3500 Sprinter chassis with less than 5000 miles on it. Drove back from dealership got about 11 MPG, driving Interstate speeds (70's), not towing and fairly lightly loaded. Noticed engine cruised at about 2500 rpm, about 600 rpm faster than most other diesel powered RV's at the equivalent speed. Just wondered what the experience has been with other 24K View owners re cruising rpm's and mpg's.

Not too surprising that your gas mileage was low given the speeds you were driving. By the time you have about 10K miles on your motorhome you should be getting better gas mileage. On the interstate I usually keep speed down to about 65 and my gas mileage hovers around 15mpg or just slightly lower.
I have also noted that the Sprinter RPM's seem higher than my earlier diesel pusher. But they are considerably lower than the RPM's of the Ford V-10!

We did a 4000 mile trip this year from the Mid-Atlantic region to Manitoba Canada and averaged 18 mpg going. Returning home we were getting 20 mpg. Most driving was flat terrain and no toad. Key to achieving the best mpg -- is keeping speed just below 60 mph.

Mileage
Thor Siesta 24SR with Mercedes Sprinter. So far, one year in, averaging 15mpg no toad. It may not make as much difference at $2.00/gal but I will sure take this when the Arabs jack up the oil price.
