New battery, no stairs

I just replaced my chassis battery and everything works great except the stairs stopped working. It is a 2007 Itasca Navion 24H. Any suggestions?

If you have a "stairs retraction defeat switch" near the door, try toggling it. It may need to be reset. Other than that, start the search for fuses and breakers, including the chassis breakers, because the steps are powered by the chassis battery (as you have discovered?).

Certainly do what Winterbagoal suggested first. If all else fails, start checking for good power connections and voltage at the step motor with a multi meter.

Good luck and let us know what you find out. I'll be swapping mine in the spring and worry that the same thing will happen to me with something.

Makes sense. I always take a picture of wiring before I start pulling it apart, as a reference tool, in case I get into trouble later putting things back together.
